I don´t have any Spyderco fixed blade myself, but if I was in the market for one: The Waterway and perhaps making the scales a bit smoother would be my choice
Not going to spoil anything, but that might change in the near future.

Re: Detent ball broke?

Ceramic ball is 100 % ceramic.
That was one of the things that held the production of Caribbean. Sal stated that they had to reassemble a lot of knives and change the ball from steel to ceramic.

If you can't buy and install new one (not easy) you have to send it to Spyderco

Hey Shawn.
If your folder colab sell well, do you think about a small fixed blade in 15V collaboration?

Re: Manix 2 LW CPM SPY27 now shipping to dealers!

I like the colour on this one.
Maybe my next knife. Yes, I am considering it even with my so-so relationship with wire clip.
It is listed for 160 € on Lamnia. Lot of money, but hey....maybe this will be my one folder for 2021.

Carbon Fiber Chaparral
Light, small, extremely thin blade makes it a really good cutter.

Re: Who is into fixed blades?

You are in the big leagues now! That thing must have cost almost as much as a Crucarta Proficient would have. ;) :D I know right :D :D This was a good deal, and luckily I didnt have to mess with international shipping and taxes, because I bought it from one person inside EU. One pic, more to come i...

Hey Vivi.
Maybe you can find a Damascus titanium endura, those don't have liners.

Re: Sage 1 Cool Grey Maxamet

I have to say, of all the Maxamet models, this one speak to me the most.
The wire clip is in the ,,eh ok,, cathegory, but no knife is perfect.
If I was not so set on getting a Caribbean next year, this Sage could be my next knife.

Re: The negative blade angle wharncliffe that I wish existed

I really dont have any needs for this kind of knife, but I truly love your input and all desing are research that you have done.
It is a very purpose build knife, but I have no problems with that and to be honest, it looks very polished.

Do you have any plans to make an actual prototype?

That Caribbean on second photo has a very rustic look to it.
:Bad pun:

Cool accidental test.
I would still contact customer support and mail the knife to Golde, they could fix it eventually.

Yes and yes.
RockJumper XL with 3,5-3,8 inch blade would be EPIC! Even better with leafshaped blade.

Re: Temperance 1 or Temp 2 Comeback???

Temperance 2 ...hm. I always think that this was one the coolest ,,in house,, designed fixed blade from Spyderco.
If it will be a new run (or a new model?) of this fixed blade in the future, and the price would be right, I may buy it.
But the price will be high.....so yeah...it depends.

Wow, I never knew that is has all black liners o.O
One time I was thinking about coating the liners in krylon or something like that (ofc not the engagement surface), but then I was like, why bother with it.

Sounds like everyone would be happy with a junction size style knife made by Sal and Erick at golden
Priced at $200 from say BHQ or Knifecenter
Kind of, sort of yes.
But problem with Golden is capacity.
