Re: I Hate Japanese Spydies, Sorry

Bodog, designs particularly Sal's backlock designs weigh heavily in me continuing on. Like many of you, I can afford anything, but I gravitate and keep going back to Sal's backlocks. It's also too bad (in general, not just knives) that made in Japan is not and has not been a value proposition anymo...

Re: I Hate Japanese Spydies, Sorry

This mastiff loves the Japan made Spydercos. I'm never without my Endura where it's not forbidden and haven't been for 25 years now. The other thread noted a rough Spyderhole. I've said it before that 1) by all means save money where possible like in the Spyderhole. Keep costs down when possible. I...

Re: Is it worth stropping Spydies? ... and something about Sharpmaker hard stones

I've gotten away with using strops because too many people use them as a crutch to compensate for what they aren't doing on the stones, and they end up straightening out a burr instead of dealing with it properly. That's my problem right there. My skill level remains low. I get by with the diamond ...

Re: Spyderco, It is time for the Burgundy FRN bonanza!

Again, when I say Burgundy, I mean dark red shades as in older Spydercos and the recent DLC coated Native exclusive. As far away from brown as possible. Surprised at how many people are against the idea. Perhaps Lance's influence and dramatic crybaby picture didnt help my cause either. Whatever. Let...
