Re: Compression lock

Thank you.
The Lil Native is a possibility, but a thick blade (for the length). Now, a compression lock Native would be great, but I don't think Spyderco will do it.

Compression lock

Suggestions for another compression lock.
I'm near to using only compression locks. I have difficulty operating most other locks now.
So I have several Para 3's, a Sage 5, Watu. These I use regularly. My Ikuche, I just can't get comfortable with.
Ideas? (I prefer the 3", but .......)

I think he was asking if he can thin the edge without risking breakage. The answer has to be yes. It seems many forum members do it.
"answer has to be yes."
Crank out my *old Edge Pro, diamond cutters and set the angle 18 deg.

Sage 5 LW edge question

The S5LW was my first Sage W/ compression lock, of course I like all compression locks. Compression locks are easy to use with my old hands. Question is..... Can I take the factory edge a bit thinner? The factory was great and I use the Sharpmaker and strop. Now I don't want to take so thin the edge...

Pivot Screws

After all these years, I've never thought to ask.
Why does Spyderco use two screws at the pivot? Lots of other knife companies use one pivot screw.

After market scales

Has anyone used this easy mod?
The Spyderco scales on my Para 3 are fine, but I like to MOD, so ordered canvas Micarta. They (for me) improve the grip greatly. Got them from KC, forgot the name.

Re: Why no deep carry pocket clip?

Well, in my case my Para 3 G10's and the Brouwer are much improved with the low ride clip I fitted on these.
I don't like that much knife out of my pocket and it's not a comfortable grip with the clip where it is.

S110V question

I've had a 110V Para 3 for some time now, but have not carried it much. I like my M390 and lightweight one so much haven't had room in my pocket. So, can you tell me a little about the steel, like *Holds an edge long time, * Hard to sharpen, *Just what do you use to sharpen it, diamonds (I have diam...

Re: 2022 first half is over, still no news about the legendary Slysz Bowie ?

I have always liked the finish on the Bowie, looks polished but with a little stonewashed.. Blade is quite easy to keep clean. Just for the heck of it, 3" Blade.??

My Para 3

After nearly 20 years of working with my Spydercos, I came to realize My Para 3 Lightweight fitted with M390 is my favorite by far. Yes, I swapped blades. :bug-white This knife combination gives me several features I like: 1.Light weight 2.Just enough traction 3.Well rounded edges. 4.Deep wire clip....

Watu is in my rotation.
I like the simple knife shape, the thin blade, and of course the 20CV is great.

I checked out some of my existing compression locks. Some do flex at that spot, but it's not an issue. Funny, never thought of checking this area before. Ha!

Para 2 cruwear micarta

How are the micarta scales holding up?
I ask, because in viewing a vid the guy showed concerns about the thinned out area at the locking tab. There is no "lip" for a good 2 or less on the scales.
THE MICARTA MAY BREAK??
I like the looks of this knife.
