Re: M4 Shaman Exclusive

Everyone had the same chance. You should be mad at BHQ for not ordering more and not limiting quantity.

Re: M4 Shaman Exclusive

Is anyone mad at BHQ for making a profit? Or are we only mad at individual sellers trying to do the same?

Re: Spyderco Waterway Impressions

As I promised, I tried some batoning with my Waterway. I sectioned off a few 2-3" wide branches with my folding saw, then split them into quarters. The knife handled this just fine, despite whacking the pretty thin tip with a good amount of force.

Since I'm contemplating getting me one of these: is there a way to directly tell from the serial wether it's the upgraded version or not?
You can tell by the date code on the box. Look for date code DR or newer.

Looks good. How are you liking the BBB regrind?
So far, so good. I ran out of things to cut so I put it to work in the kitchen alongside the Spydiechef.

Thanks for sharing this! I've been curious about how well the remover works.
It was curiosity that got me to try this as well. I figured the worst case scenario would be dying it black.

Thanks for the education I wonder if I can turn yellow to blue?
I would have preferred blue, but I don't know of a way that won't turn it some shade of green.

FRN de-dye / re-dye

NOTE: The colors in the images are brighter than they appear in person. I am not a big fan of green knives, so I decided to try and de-dye and re-dye these scales. They were originally yellow salt scales that were died with (I think) aquamarine Rit dye to get the green color. https://i.imgur.com/clk...

Re: Spydiechef Wire Clip - Screw Length

Nope. Different length for these two screws. Which is unfortunate, but I suppose necessary. Thanks, that's what I thought. Before I sent mine in for service I had removed the clip and reinstalled the screw. It seemed the screw was too long and coming close to touching the blade. I forgot to actuall...

Spydiechef Wire Clip - Screw Length

There are two screws for the wire clip. One on the lockbar side (currently holding the clip), and one on the opposite (show) side filling in the empty hole.

Are these screws the same length?
