I'm unwilling to calculate because I may be forced to admit I have a problem.

See, they install that Spydercoat® at the factory. There's nothing we can do about that.

Yeah, I couldn't believe how well it held up whittling brass. Shawn was really torquing it. Sounded awful. Amazing edge stability. And at cheaper than the standard bd1n, a great deal. Not that's there's anything wrong with bd1n. You can easily writ dye it if you don't like the white too (yay screw ...

Re: Caribbean Clip Screw Hole Problem
.078" is 2mm so if it's metric, it's probably an M2 screw. Standard pitches for M2 are .4 and .25, no idea which is correct (if either is correct). If I were guessing I'd probably try finer first (M2-0.25). Have you talked to customer service? Thank you Notsurewhy, you were right! I ordered a ...

Re: Delica 4 in 2024?
The delica is a significant knife historically and still holds up very well in today's market. It's small, lightweight, cuts like nobody's business, feels great in hand, is easy to open and close one handed, has a strong lock, is completely ambidextrous, and mostly disappears in the pocket. What mo...

The Canis has a fuller handle and is certainly different. No personal experience beyond handling one at a store a while back though. Very nice piece, but not my cup of tea.

Re: UKPK in Spy27 & G10 at Shot Show
It is great that a g10/spy27 ukpk is in the works. People who live in areas with ridiculous laws need all the choices they can get. And the ukpk is a great knife even if you don't have silly laws. Side note: I've noticed before and once again in this thread that some people find fiberglass and nylon...

Re: Would a D'Allara 4 with CBBL interest anyone?
With all due respect, to me the CBBL feels like a Gen 1 Glock trigger, gravelly and heavy whereas an Axis lock knife feels like a perfectly tuned Colt Python. To each their own, but to me this is really different: - The CBBL feels reliable and strong to me while it still can very easily be operated...

Re: Spyderco Models We Need In FULL SE
I'd prefer pretty much every Spyderco model with teeth... But especially for the Manix 2 (LW) it is about time imo. And I've been wishing for a Chap SE quite a long time... glad we'll actually get that one! Ah, and please teeth for the VG10 ffg regular blade shape Endura ... https://www.bladehq.com...

Re: Would a D'Allara 4 with CBBL interest anyone?
I've never looked at a D'Allara, probably because the lock doesn't appeal to me. But ANYTHING with a CBBL would get my attention. Its similarity to Benchmade's AXIS lock is what brought me here in the first place. With all due respect, to me the CBBL feels like a Gen 1 Glock trigger, gravelly and h...

Re: If laws and public perception were no issue, would you carry a different knife?
My carry would not change if laws were different. Where I live the only restrictions are on ballistic knives and on concealed carry of fixed blades. Neither affects me. Since I don't travel for work anymore, vacation is the only time I have to think about legality. I do find it hilarious that it's i...

Re: Knives - FRN with Liners
Nice Delica! If the steel was something other than Hap 40 I might have that model on my purchase list! There is a version with black wood and Damascus (vg10 core) if that is more to your liking. Looks like they are out of stock but they may do another run or you could go secondary market. https://w...

Re: Still wishing for a Chaparral XL / Endela "thin edition" / or something along that lines
I'm all for more knives with<3mm blade stock and slicey grinds. If the design is as nice as the chap, so much the better. I'm encouraged by the thinner 2.5mm lil native lw and catcherman in the latest reveal.

Re: Native 5 Lightweight - Lube pivot or not?
Do whatcha like. I have several native lw and I've noticed better action from lubing the tang/lockbar. Recommended. I lubed the pivot once or twice early on with my first native lw, but it seemed to actually make things stickier. The action was still smooth, but it seemed like the viscosity of the o...

Re: EDC recommendation: Native 5 LW – S30V or SPY27?
Great choice. The native 5 lw is probably my most carried Spyderco. I've not used spy27 yet(I'm waiting on the chief lw to release in spy), but by all accounts it is similar in use than s30v but has better sharpening response, so I'd go with that. Nothing wrong with s30v though. If you like enjoy yo...
