Re: Teal S30V Dragonfly Exclusive
Funny how most people dis S30V until it’s on a sprint. Weird. Not trying to be a jerk. Just an observation. I think the folks who hate on S30v represent a small number of vocal enthusiasts who only want Uber steel. They aren't statistically significant outside of knife forums. S30v is a very good s...

Re: Spyderco Knives
One more thing regarding price. If you are a first responder, active duty military or a veteran you qualify for the op focus discount and can buy directly from the Spyderco website for 50% off MSRP. They charge for shipping unless you spend $150, but it's still ends up saving money on almost everyth...

Re: Emphasis
I'd overlooked this one. It's a Goldilocks length for me, right between the native and the chief with a similar blade shape (love the native shape). Looks to be good in the pocket with that slim humpless profile. I don't prefer liner locks, but it isn't a deal breaker. The 8cr is disappointing, but ...

- Lil native Sprint in something interesting. Maybe M4 or LC200. Would prefer back lock but that won't happen.

Re: Compression Lock questions?
If you find yourself opening and closing your knife without cutting anything frequently, you'll probably love the compression lock. It's super quick to flick open and closed again. If I'm actually gripping the knife for use though, I find the back lock less awkward to close and the bias towards bein...

Re: Chief 1st sprint opinion poll
The para 3 and pm2 sprints are still around and being discounted and sold in two knife packages two years after release. I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.

Re: The threesome fight!
If the benchmade does not wobble it is too stiff to open. The partial liners and plastic handle is likely the culprit...just mush for a handle...and a plastic unlined handle with a painted black blade at this cost in this range? Get serious. I just have to make a little correction. That Benchmade's...

Re: The Wire Clip: express your love, hate, indifference
I don't think I've ever had a standard clip knife come out of my pocket unintentionally. I only have two wire clip knives and both have jumped out of my pocket more than once.
I like a deep carry, but as far as stock Spyderco clips, I'll take the hourglass every time.

Re: Chinese sprints
Bad news I'm afraid. Sal said that in this thread: https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=77098&p=1274428&hilit=Tenacious#p1274428 That the factory that makes the tenacious doesn't like to use steel that isn't 8cr. Not much room for sprints there. I'm pretty sure he has also said...

Re: Z-Cut Spyderco Food Prep Knife in BD1N!
I am very glad that in the new Reveal Spyderco has revealed the Z-Cut food preparation knife, and it uses BD1N stainless steel. Is this a long-hoped for type of tool for many of you? I was extremely interested until I saw the dimensions listed. I thought from the images, that they were designed to ...

Re: Does it bother anyone else...?
...that the flipper on the Smock has been dubbed a "front flipper" when it is basically in the same position as every other flipper tab Spyderco has produced. I assume it has stemmed from the design looking so similar to a lot of front flippers in that the flipper is an exposed section of...
