#2 By a kilometre. I do not see any reason to have more than one of any of the models. With one exception being Mules.

Im not sure if OP is truthfull or just a troll, but it funny to see fanboys raging and "spitting".
However, if OP is a troll he is quite a mediocre one. Need more practice.

Upgrades are nice, but the price was the main factor I got interested in this knife. Will see if it still keep me interested when street price is known.

Re: Sharpmaker, water stones, or both?
Benchstones all the way. You dont need anything else. Also, king has many stones. But I assume king Delux series was discussed above. You can defenetlly create an nice and sharp edge on king 1000 or 1200 (given that you already have the bevels set). For the money they are great choice if you do not ...

PM2 became gritty
I have 2 month old camo PM2 that has barely any use. I was flicking it today and all of the sudden it became very gritty. Opening and closing the blade require more force and you can hear the friction noise. However, when the compression lock is pressed the action is very smooth both ways without an...

Re: Uh oh nutnfancy spreading misinformation...
Looks like it boils down to:
1. H1 knife can rust -> Possible
2. H1 steel can rust -> No way*
*with enough chemicals and proper lab equipment I am sure one can make H1 oxidize.

Did the exposed steel rust (bevels)? I can only see spots on the coating.

Re: Does Spyderco use white sticker to seal outer package?
Hi Superstack, Welcome to our forum. Amazon requires that we seal both ends of the box, We have always used clear rectangle stickers on everything we ship to them. sal That aligns with my experince. Two knives from Amazon I have came with boxes sealed by clear plastic. Things shipped from SFO did n...

Re: Spyderco prices in Europe exploded !
I think a lot of it has to do with currency, a couple of years ago 1 euro = $1,40 and today it's 1 euro = $1,08. Obviously the distributors are having to pay more to change currencies and to buy knives, therefore they've jacked up the prices to maintain profits at the same levels as before. Maybe i...

Re: Spyderco prices in Europe exploded !
If this is due to tax and shipping cost, should not Italy made spydercos be cheaper in Europe then?
Im not a tax expert, but should not non USA made knives be taxed at US border when shipped from Japan/Taiwan/etc; or there is an exception for corporations?

Re: This is why I don't get the hype for edge retention
Jim, How much of an effect do you think that cutting technique has on your cardboard cutting results? You get impressive numbers. I know you are a good sharpener and I am sure that is part of it but I was wondering about technique too. You have cut enough cardboard that you must be pretty good at i...
