With sierra, you need to sign up for all of their various notifications, then you will regularly get 25-35% off coupons in your inbox.

The best one is usually 35% off + 99 cent shipping.

PSST - bdblue, despite the fact that you keep whining about the website being broken for more than two hours when it most certainly wasn't, you have a second chance to get your hands on one of these knives. Cancel the call to the whaaaaaambulance and click that link Kristi posted up there. You still...

Awesome news - I got one on the way and am somewhat tempted to snag another, but I'll let some other deserving spyderfan snag it instead.

Somebody asked me if I thought that the scalpers had ways around server issues. I don't know how they do it but I think they must obviously have some way to get the knives when the ordinary enthusiast does not. Oh come on, this is the most ridiculous "conspiracy theory" I've ever heard. T...

It should have been a checkbox style poll, which allows you to select multiple options, and it should have included an option for "use it whenever the heck I finally get around to putting handles on it" choice :D

The Sage 1 was the knife that made me fall in love with Carbon Fiber - I'd love to see that pattern show up on more knives.

Turns out I actually did get one after all - thought I didn't but I was wrong. There was no option for "save it for trading", so I voted for both "light carry" and "flip" - I might end up trading mine for the CF version. Not really a "flip" per se, but given t...

Once again.........I was not able to get one. Site was too busy.. This sucks. This was only true in the first hour at most. The knife was still available for an additional TWO HOURS after the site calmed down and stopped throwing error messages. It was trivial to get one if you were patient and che...

Isn't the CF/S110V version a Sprint run? If it is you can bet they will be at least $250 to $300 on the secondary markets.. The CF/S110V hasn't shipped yet, and is available for preorder. I am not talking "secondary market" prices - I am talking about an S110V Native that will be availabl...

I was watching extremely closely, as were the guys in the sharpthings chat, and it was definitely well beyond an hour. I was sitting on the checkout screen, deciding whether to pull the trigger or not, when they sold out, so I've got a pretty good idea of when it happened - it was between the time I...

and anybody who buys at that price is a fool, considering the fact that the Carbon Fiber version with the same supersteel will retail for less than $200.

between the two you listed, I'd go with the manix lightweight for a hiking knife. It feels like it weighs nothing at all in your pocket, but it packs a lot of knife with a very strong lock into those few ounces. It's my go-to backpacking folder. Also, good choice on the Sage 1 - it's the knife that ...

I think it was the blade steel / price. Thats what made this one special. To me anyway. The Carbon Fiber Native 5 is available for preorder for under $200, with S110V and a premium handle material. $150 for the Forum Native is a pretty good price, no doubt, but if the CF version is any indication, ...

I had one in my basket, and successfully made it to the order page. I delayed too long entering my credit card information, and the knife was removed from my cart by the time I hit "checkout".

Oh well, the carbon fiber version is clearly superior anyway ;)

I had one in my cart, deciding whether to order or not, and when I finally typed in my credit card info, it said that my cart was empty, and they were sold out by then. Oh well, guess I'm waiting for the CF version ;)

Forum native is OUT OF STOCK

I had the "payment" page open for a long time, hemming and hawing on whether I should order one, and by the time I decided to pull the trigger, I got a "your cart is empty" page. When I tried to re-add it to my cart, it was listed as Out of Stock. I hope everyone who wanted one b...

I suspect the OP is a teenager that watches too many action movies It's generally fairly difficult to get a CCW permit as a teenager - just sayin ;) Like you, I also find the OP's self defense "needs" to be a bit extreme, perhaps even a touch mall ninja, but there's no need to accuse him ...

Well, in that case, I live in Florida, and my name rhymes with "Borge Bimmerman". These streets can be pretty dark and mean. http://i.imgur.com/L3J6n.jpg I would say carry nothing less than what your self defense training works well with. Anything else would be silly. This right here woul...
