Re: Camel Spyderco Knife. Which model is it?
By the way. Do you think it could be worth something? It's worth what someone wants to pay for it but there is an unused one on ebay now for $300. Condition counts a lot but yours is somewhat unique with the Camel connection and there are maybe not so many around anymore. There is some info on your...

Re: Change in UK Knife Buying
The restrictions on buying acid products are simply an attempt to stop people using it as a weapon and require people to show id when purchasing and that they are over 18. All the while enough chemicals under the kitchen sink and in the garage that could be used. Or if you have a swimming pool ! I ...

Re: Change in UK Knife Buying
People can still buy knives online, you just cannot have them delivered to your home, you have to pick them up from a local pick up point as you would if you miss a delivery. Possible silver lining is that shady delivery drivers don't get an opportunity to steal your package or lose it. This only af...

zdp 189 Dragonfly A must have for everyone's collection I'm already Dragonfly fan but this one has had my attention for a long time and I'm glad I finally got one :) Any advice on adjusting the pivot? My other Dragonfly is perfect but this one is a little loose in the closed position and the blade ...

Re: Attack of the modern slipjoints!!!!
It's a pity the Lionsteel Roundheads are an exclusive only available through collectorknives. The blend of traditional style with modern materials is pretty awesome. The Victorinox Cadet alox versions are also pretty sweet and not so pricey. Would be pretty cool to see Spyderco do a collaboration wi...

Re: Tuf-Glide on Dice??
I have had my Dice for a while and I have never taken it apart. I have just used mineral oil on the pivot and it works fine but to be honest I don't do it very often. I think it's more important to keep the pivot area clean, so rinse it out, let it dry and then add some oil if required.

Re: Elmax in Golden made knives
I'd like to see an Elmax UKPK but for some reason or another (I would guess a supply problem?) it seems like Spyderco are not into using steels from Bohler. They only use k390 on the Police 4 and n690 on a couple of the Italian models. When they do use a Bohler steel in an exclusive model they tend ...

Re: K390 corrosion resistence
I I don't use mine for cutting fruit but I do wipe it down with mineral oil (do it to all my carbon steel blades) about once a month and don't have any patina build up.

Re: Too Many Exclusives?
I'm not knocking the idea of exclusives but I think they should be limited to 2 per year per company. Yes there are some models that sell well but so many more are still left on the shelf. The knifeworks millie's in s90v and 204p (awesome knife by the way) are still on the shelf after a couple of ye...
