how many of you guys have them,and what do you think? I know they are inexpensive knifes,and I shouldn't expect a whole lot. I was wanting to buy the guys that work under me one for christmas, I would need to buy 6.

It was 95 and I was 18, had a buddy I went to technical college with that had a delica,and he told me I should try one,so i did and the rest is history......Have always carried a pocket knife anyways growing up,it might as well be one that will CUT. ;)

That looks great,I wish i could find/afford one.I have always wanted a fixed blade spyderco,and the option of making the grips would be cool.Im thinking checkered camo laminated wood :cool:

what would be the advantage of that? what would be the advantage of sandwiching the two steels? samurai swords were constructed differently,( imagine a V shape .....the outer v made from a steel that had good edge retention properties, and the hollow in the v filled with a steel that was tougher for...

it worked just fine for the japanese samurai.It sounds like the blade construction is simular. inside core is made from one material,and outside made from another for edge retention. :spyder:

Yeah he gave me the knife back, and tried to charge me for it too.I told him there was no way I was going to pay him,and told him you just ruined a $175 knife. I was pretty hot.That was about 6 or 7 years ago.I took the knife home and put it in the drawer,and recently took it out again and worked on...

My wish list

I wish SPYDERCO would make a newer model knife with a damascus steel blade. I know sales wouldnt be that great,but I can always wish. :)

Yeah it's a cool knife I carried it for several years. It's fairly light weight for such a large knife.It is not in perfect shape anymore,A guy at BASS PRO saw it and begged me to let him sharpen it..... needless to say he almost ruined it.It looked like he sharpened it with a belt sander,not to men...
