Re: Golden Accomodation November 2023

Thanks for that, Naperville...
I did trawl thru the Interwebs, so it got a bit much to sort.

Sometimes, personal recomendations are the best, hence my request.

Golden Accomodation November 2023

Chances are that in a year's time, I will be able to visit Spyderco for the first time... :smiling-heart-eyes :cheap-sunglasses I will be solo, as my wife will be staying with my son and daughter-in-law with their new boy, to be born in January next! I will fly up from LA mid November 2023 and stay ...

Re: Straight Razor from Spyderco

Sal A thought or two? Maybe a collab with Mike Blue will be easier, as he has knowledge that most razor makers have already? Making your own straights from the offset will stamp your mark, as it were. With my limited skills when I was around 17 years old, I used 3mm O1 steel, and ground it on a self...

Re: Just purchased my first Civilian. WOW !

I made quite a few Kydex sheathes for these over the years, but never owned one...
Maybe when I hope to visit the SFO in November next year, I can snag one?

Maybe even catch the Seconds Sale, if there is one in November 2023?

Re: The Spyderco Story: Time For A Sequel?

With Sal's permission, and extracted from the book...( which I borrowed from a friend, and who will not sell it ! ) :) " An old woman, who to Sal looked about 150 years old, came walking along the tracks and accosted him, saying, "Sonny, I'm going to tell you the secret of life: everybody ...

Mr Janich was also involved in trying to get American POWs back to the US after the Vietnam War...

That says a lot to me about his integrity...

Re: First Spyderco

Hi Engine Предлажем да покушате да рукујете са што више Спидерцо ножева. Сви су то одлични ножеви и ако купите неки од модела Бирд, јефтинији су, али су вредни. Maybe this is easier to read? : Predlažem da pokušate da rukujete sa što više Spyderco noževa. Svi su to odlični noževi i ako kupite neki o...

Planning to see my first grandchild due in January 2023 in LA, and a trip to Golden would be, well, GOLDEN!

Saving up for some edged goodies as well, I hope? :cheap-sunglasses

The proto that Sal made, was using an all stainless model by Basic Tools, a 440C folder made in Japan. I have three other BT knives, but my one that looked just like the one Sal used, was stolen when I came to NZ. BTW, Basic Tools made three different sizes of the all stainless model, the two smalle...

Re: Mini Yojimbo Prototype ?

If you have used an Endura of any era, and then a Delica of any era, the difference of the handle sizes for most folks will not really be an issue...

I am guessing the same for this MicroJimbo...
