I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I first heard AMC was doing this series, but I've been pleasantly surprised. Thanks to the show, I'm actually thinking about picking up the Walking Dead Omnibus, just so I don't have to deal with a bunch of different volumes. It's a nice change to see people t...

As much as I love Spyderco, and would love to take part in the factory sale, seeing that picture of everyone crowded in at one time was enough to turn me off.

I'll leave all the fun to the rest of you ;)

Right now my favorite is the Lava. It's such a stout little folder, and it's size and shape allows it to be a great worry stone. Coming in on a close second is the Delica 3. I just haven't been able to warm up to the newest generation Delica, but that might change if I happen across one of the flat ...

Anyone use their forum knives?

My purple Native has stayed in the box, while my girlfriend has used hers for things that would probably make most of us weep. I'm just curious how many of you actually use your forum knives. I would use mine, but I think I'm waiting on Spyderco to come out with a regular production Native with a fl...

I'm glad someone brought this topic up. I've been looking into getting the paper wheels, but I can never find a grinder or buffer that's under 3000rpm. Any suggestions on places I might find one?

butch, Yeah, I've seen the tool on a couple websites, but I just can't justify spending close to a 100 dollars for something I may use once or twice. Of course, I could always use it for other people too.. 2cha, Lucky you. The PMR has yet to reach my area yet. From what I read on Kel-Tec's website, ...

I wasn't a Glock hater when I first shot one, but I certainly didn't feel like they were for me. That all changed, however, when I went to work for a sheriff's office and was issued a Glock 17. I found the gun to be accurate, reliable, and easy for me to shoot well. I had to give the 17 back when I ...

gac, Thank you much for embedding those pics. Makes it a bit easier to see them now.

SmoothOne25, Actually, I had a half-terrier half-chihuahua, and a beagle when I was younger. I've always been a fan of the medium size dogs, more so than the tiny or large ones.

Just wanted to share my new doggy

Almost two months ago, my girlfriend and I decided we were ready to take the plunge and get a dog. We checked at the SPCA and found one that we liked, only to find out it was already going through the adoption process. We were a little disappointed, but not discouraged, and ended up going to the cou...

Good to hear things are starting to change Doc. I haven't been in law enforcement long, but it kind of surprised how little my coworkers knew about guns after being raised in a rural setting. I will say the State Police and town police officers in my area do seem to be better versed on firearms and ...

I'm in law enforcement, and I can honestly say there are some police officers that probably shouldn't carry a gun. I daresay the number of police officers that regularly practice with their weapons are outnumbered by private citizens that do the same. The simple fact of the matter is that many polic...

Man, there were a bunch of models I completely forgot about. I think in the end, I may end up going with the Rookie, only because I had one and liked it, and it's more the size I use and carry these days.

Thanks for the suggestions!

I thought about it, and I should have been more specific. I meant slim knives in regards to the blade and handle when they are folded. Of course, you're right Blerv. The Rookie is pretty spot on in that regard. I had completely forgotten about the new version. I actually had one of the original ones...

Slim Spydercos?

It's been a little while since I've visited, but I'm started to look at Spyderco's again. My main criteria is that I'm looking for a slimmer knife, since I've gotten used to carrying a Kershaw OD-1 and a Victorinox Pioneer. Anyone have any suggestions for Spydercos that don't take up too much pocket...

One knife that tends to be with me all the time is the Spyderco Lava my girlfriend got me a couple of years ago as a birthday present. Even if I'm carrying something else in my pockets, the Lava still has a place in my waistband.

What did you get for Christmas?

Title says it all.

I got a couple of Buck knives (303 stockman and 501 Squire)
Boker Pilot Survival knife
Bunch of DVD's
Bunch of books
PSP games
candy

and probably the biggest surprise of all, a Glock 26 from my girlfriend.

So, what did you guys open up this holiday?

I'm not really bored with Spyderco knives at the moment, but then again there aren't that many patterns that interest me right now. That's not to say I don't enjoy the Spydies I have right now, because I very much do. My main issue is that I've been focusing on sleeker slimmer folders lately, and th...
