Thank you sequimite for your very informative albeit, tantalizing report. Just one question about the cat/chicago, what was the G10 color? And a big thank you as well to Brad S. for the picture of the flipper. That knife if beyond beautiful and I hope that it makes it into production, it just looks ...

I am also really excited about the techno. I really like the rough/industrial look of the knife. It will be nice to see more frame locks come from spyderco too. I really enjoy my sage II and this seems like a nice smaller, more utilitarian knife.

I have a GB, among many other spydies and some other knives that are made for "hard work." At first I didn't really think much of my GB, it was nice, CF scales, liner lock and a fairly good sized blade. After carrying it and using it a bit more I have grown to like it a lot. I carry mine i...

Sal did say sprint which makes me think that its going to be just like the original dodo. I have absolutely no problem with that as long as it's in some novelty color like orange or natural G10. They probably wouldn't need to re-tool to change it to a BBL so that may be a change also.

I hope it's a 1200 piece sprint because I was at least hoping to get two. A 600 run will be gone in a flash :( Maybe this sprint could be handled through the SFO only? Handled like the Mules are. Let people buy two at a time, after a few weeks if they are still open just let people have at the rest...

Either a new model or just a sprint. I have posted many times in the thread i would definitely purchase a dodo sprint. It would be nice to see a new model with a ccb or even a compression lock, but still, a sprint would more than satisfy my needs for a dodo. It was one of the models I missed out on.

I would say go with the Caly3. It's wire clip is going to sit lower and is also going to not look like a knife in dress pants. The Caly will also have a smoother traction surface and will not scuff or mar your pants at all from the clip riding against the CF. If the Caly3 is too much money for you p...

I still have my CE E3, but it has seen better days and doesn't get carried any more. Before i knew much about knives I tried to give it a FFG that didn't go so well. Now that I know a little more and my knife working skills are better maybe I will try to fix it and get it back into the pocket.

This knife is a definite must by for my as well. I managed to get a yojimbo 1 in black. The ergos and the amount of purchase you can get on that knife is amazing. I will be interesting to see the improvements made by mr. janich. Wonder if we will see different handle colors for this knife too.

There are no plans to change the the Sage series. The next model is going to be a front-lock-back (The Al Mar, Harvey McBurnette lock is a little different than the mid-lock-back). We still plan to use Al Mar's long bolster version. We'd like to use a walnut scale, but we're still deciding on the s...
