Re: If you could resurrect one discontinued model what would it be?

I know they haven't been gone long but the sprig and southfork were both great!

Sounds good to me! My girlfriend is also all about color...the color Green! It has to be green if she's going to carry it!

Re: I wish spyderco offered deep carry clips

I'm down with using an aftermarket clip to get deep carry performance. I think it's kind of fun that we have so many options.

Re: Are we already feeling the effects?

Fine by me. Clears up the clutter and people can post about the Spyderco knives they have instead of complaining about how long it's taking for <insert upcoming release here> to come out. Yeah we’re an obsessive group when something isn’t available yet. Speaking of which, where’s that Bow River??? ...

Re: Something I do not understand about the Chaparral

I really enjoy fidgeting with my Raffir Noble version, but I'm sure the FRN version is much thinner. Spyderco makes so many different models though, why would anyone actively complain that a specific model isn't comfortable? Just switch to something with a different lock or spring or whatever....

Re: Compression Lock Millie?

I would buy a compression lock military, but I don't have a preference against the liner lock. What I would really love to see is for spyderco to drill and tap the military for tip up carry

I would love these scales for my Manix2 I just couldn’t bond with the marbled CF.
I think these wouldmake great handles as sprints for other models. Or maybe someone will make them in the aftermarket world.

Re: What strop do you use?

I use the back of a leather belt. No compound or anything else. I should probably get more technical with it, but I've been able to achieve great results with just that.

Re: How much are you willing to spend on a Chinese made knife?

I think china makes fine knives ... http://i.imgur.com/dGP34oZ.jpg Fine as in "ok." You have to keep in mind that it's hard to compare between price points...A tenacious is a great knife for the price, but it probably doesn't hold up to the PM2. I still love both...I still think both are ...

Re: Why was the G10 Crossbill discontinued?

I don't think that knife enthusiasts (afi's) are buying many byrds. I know some do, but in general, I think byrds are purchased by non afi's just looking for a good cheap knife. sal I buy the byrds for something to keep around when I need to lend out a knife, or for a backup to keep in the car or t...

Alas, not in the 2019 catalog, which I guess means a 2020 release...maybe.
Maybe a mid-season release instead?
