Re: Spyderco knife saves lives
Hello. I am writing from Russia. With a translation service. I spoke to this guy in person today. His name is Yegor. It was a male bear weighing 350-400 kilograms. The guy managed to inflict 6 stab wounds on the bear. The last 2 wounds entered the full length of the blade, after which the bear move...

Re: Spyderco knife saves lives
Awesome story, bet he's happy he took the resilience instead of the man bug that day.
Sal might have to rename the resilience, 'the bear slayer' :)

Re: I grossly underestimated the Native Chief
I keep getting this from Spyderco... basically every single knife I bought had flaws like this. I'm not exaggerating, it's been every single one . Because I like the designs I force myself into condoning the obvious, but once again I'm just baffled. That is very unlucky. Are you buying them from a ...

Re: Pink Dragonfly = Happy Wife
Nice one bro, its a cool little knife, great gift. Black and pink look great together.
Ive put my H1 serrated dragonfly on a keyring, its on the bigger side for a keychain knife but it works fine.

.... I much prefer the squarer edges on the native 5 frn The edge of the p3 is too smooth and rounded. Rarely ever someone prefers the squarer edges... but your reasoning actually makes srnse. So if a folder is one that does not get used to hard or continually for a longer period of time, squarer e...

It happens to me too mate, with dry or slippery hands ive had it come out of my hand opening, numerous times.
I much prefer the squarer edges on the native 5 frn
The edge of the p3 is too smooth and rounded.

Re: Native 5 Salt is hands down the best knife ever IMO
not sure I agree Evil, I really like the blocky design, it never comes out of my hand like the slippery rounded edge on my p3 lightweight, which I really dislike the handle. With dry hands its slipped out of my hand a few times opening it. I wish the p3 was more blocky like the native 5. EDIT, My p...

It's very good but could be "more gooder" if the handle was less blocky. [/quot not sure I agree Evil, I really like the blocky design, it never comes out of my hand like the slippery rounded edge on my p3 lightweight, which I really dislike the handle. With dry hands its slipped out of m...

I feel g10 feels better in the hand, also doesn't collect dirt and grime like the FRN pattern does.

Re: About that food prep ...
Whilst I understand there are better knives for food prep, I still really enjoy trying out and using folders in the kitchen. My resilience lives in the kitchen and use it mainly to chop veggies, have also used my Caribbean plenty, both really handy kitchen knives. Having said that, I don't own a nic...

Re: Experiences with Spydercos SERRATED 8cr13mov?
Apart from its corrosion resistance its a decent steel. Its very strong, ive tried bending a slightly bent blade from the factory and flexed it a lot without breaking it. It takes an edge very well and holds it ok, just not a great steel around salt or humidity. Id suggest getting a blacked out vers...
