I know the spec's show the same (or similar) size, but something just looks different about the proportions of that Mini Manix compared to my Manix 2 LW. I love the sturdy back lock, liners without the extra jimping, overall handle shape and blade profile, lanyard hole size and placement, 4 way clip...

I'm all in. I missed the original full sized manix and the mini-manix and would jump at the chance to get either...especially the mini in a configuration similar to what you have suggested!

Personally just not a fan of the Native 5 (I know sorry). I had the forum native and I love my brown frn cts-xhp native but I just think the blade shape on the ffg native 5 looks goofy. This is just my opinion, but I really think the mini manix just looks better.

Mine arrived today to my surprise...from Michigan to VA in two days with standard shipping! First impressions, I have to say this is a beauty! Light weight as I expected, but has a pretty solid feel in the hand and no play in any direction. Mine is pretty much spot on as far as centering, but the se...

Bring back the Mini Manix!

All the buzz about the S110V lightweight manix (mine is out for delivery today) has me thinking about the Manix series in general and I think it would be a huge hit if they brought back the mini-manix. Either in the original backlock configuration or with the CBBL (or even better the ceramic BBL). I...

That would be pretty awesome to see some bi-directional G-10 scales.
I am sure it would take some pretty complex machining though...not that it can't be done for a price (chap 3).

I realize the tip itself is not changed much if any, but that blade sure does look beast.
I know...I am just trying to talk myself into it so I can hunt one down.

Manix 2 Sabre grind

Just wondering if any of you know any dealers still holding stock of the Manix 2 Sabre grind? I know I could probably call and ask (which I will to confirm before I order) but just curious if anyone knows off hand. I am particularly interested in the black on black. Not sure if I want one just becau...

I was just perusing the 2014 catalog and it hit me...the tusk (while not technically called a Salt series knife) is specifically designed for maritime use and has the ceramic ball bearing lock! I am not sure if a different steel was used for the spring and other hardware, but this knife is clearly c...

I did see this, at KW for those who don't recognize MCM. I did notice an error in my first email showing a sale price of $44.95 for the murdered out manix 2. I tried to hop on this immediately hoping to do a blade swap with my incoming S110v, but to no avail...when I clicked on the link it jumped up...

Welcome and congratulations on the Vallotton. After several years of collecting and some pretty highly regarded knives this may still be my most revered knife in my collection. Given I carry my Caly 3.5 and Techno alot more at this moment, but the Vallotton is another level of refinement. After hand...

Not sure what your blade length restriction is, but you may want to check out the Kahr Arms delica. It has the same Delica 4 handle you like but the blade is re-ground to a wharncliffe profile which does result in a shorter 2.5" blade. I believe this was designed by Michael Janich, I have been ...

Yea, I was thinking the same thing...they could possibly use the ceramic ball bearing for this one. I am still waiting for mine to check it out in person, but I think this could be a winner in H1.

You can also try putting your fingertips on the outside edge of the lock bar touching or almost touching the blade. This will allow you to apply force in the opposite direction of your thumb while not pushing in on the lock. This has been my best strategy, along with pushing more towards the tip wi...
