Less than a year ago I had a hard time pulling the trigger on a $30 Ladybug as my first knife purchase. Fast forward to now, $220 for the Southard was a no-brainer. :)

The whole thing is a loop tied with the first knot. The beads slide along to adjust the loop size and cinch it tight when looped over the first knot. The beads are gutted paracord.
