Still have to try out the straight spine Stretch but apart from that option it has beaten everything I know for favorite regular users.
Love the Endela!

I'd even say for me it's the best Spyderco design sofar, have used quite a few over the past 20 years. :)

Pretty much only buy/use FRN/FRCP handled folders these days, have always liked the design on the Chief and would definitely get one if it came out in FRN!

Re: Salty Stretch ! ?
I'm curious if the sales of the K390 Straight Spine Stretch will support the notion that an LC200N Straight Spine Stretch Salt would be a worthy iteration? I think the original Stretch just wasn't popular enough to ever warrant plunking down $20K for a new FRN mold to make it linerless. This also m...

Re: The spydie folder you would bring in a trip around the world
Don't think I'll get to making another trip around the world but in '06-'07 I carried a Benchmade Griptilian and a Victorinox multitool and Pioneer SAK on a 12 month trip around the world. In '09-'10 on a 7 month trip around the world although mostly (close to 6 months) in/through New Zealand I carr...

Respect to an amazing knife maker, lucky to have at least one of his designs on my wall as inspiration.

Re: Please Pardon the shameful sales pitch - Rock Jumper
Shameful saless pitch didn't completely work, I was already sold the first time I saw a Rock Jumper..
Very keen to be holding one as well, or maybe both but will probably start with a PE.
Hoping this will be available soon enough to make it to a possible Portuguese trip in october.

Re: Good Bye Stretch!
I can see people considering this design ugly but personally like the special Spydie looks and liked the first Stretch as well. Did totally fall for the Stretch 2 as soon as I first handled it and it's definitely in my top 3 of folders in general. The original Stretch was definitely a fine knife but...

Re: How often do you carry a fixed blade?
For a bit over a year now I've been getting, using and carrying more fixed blades. I usually like to neck carry since it makes it easy to conceal but when wearing several layers of clothing can also be hard to get to so like to carry some small folder in pocket as well. Living in an urban environmen...

Re: FRN Worker LW Salt in H1??
Would get any Worker in FRN but not sure about H1, would prefer LC200N or just VG10.
For H1 I think it also would have too much competition in the Salt 2.

Re: Carving knife contest - Children's Hospital
Thanks, Sal! It was inspired by work from the artist, Piet Mondrian! Hi Nick, I'm familiar with Mondrian. For my first two years in college, I was an art major (before switching). Great study. sal Did you end up in engineering? That would explain a lot. Biology, optometry, accounting, engineering, ...

Re: Why do you carry a knife?
Obviously a knife is for cutting stuff but it's a good allround tool as well and no a knife isn't a crowbar but plenty of knives get used for more than just slicing and they're a very usefull basic tool. I also usually carry a Victorinox Pioneer or Spirit multitool so I can use a few more tools when...

Re: Poll: Preferred steel choice(s) for a Manix 2 XL Sprint or Exclusive?
Sounds good to me in Cruwear (or 3V/4V) but I've already got one and don't use it that much so I wouldn't buy a new one just for a cool steel. Very nice knife btw but I often use a smaller folder and/or take a fixed blade when this size. Could well be a favorite edc if I lived outdoors and would mai...

Re: Chaparral LW Exclusives and Sprints
CRUWEAR!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, ok, i'm kidding on this one! :D :D LOL! Even though you're kidding, I bet it would sell very well. If CruWear (whatever the correct spelling in this week) is as tough as the cult of cruwear claims, it would make sense since it should be pretty chip and roll resistant on a thi...

Re: New Brouwer offering?
It does say they have it but I've also had them screw up orders before where I was told that something that I ordered (which said available) and paid for a week earlier actually wasn't in stock at all..
So they are capable of making mistakes.
