Dear guys, Can't believe that it is usual quality of manufacturing of Spyderco knives... It is Delica 4 ss Looking at my knifes I wouldn't think this would be within tolerance for a Spyderco knife. If it was mine I would try to exchange. Maybe some of the members that have been here longer will giv...

I try to keep my knifes as sharp as possible. I think cardboard is the material that most on here judge a sharp edge and a working edge but I'd be more critical of the edge for cleaning deer or fish and working on the farm. For cutting silver skin when butchering a deer, I want the knife sharp so an...

Hi Guys and thanks! We’ve had some rough weather around here with straight-line winds and tornados so I’m not doing much work outside. I’m retired also, not from work but from a paying job so I’ve been putting the sharpener through the paces. I’ve sharpened all my skinning knifes, fillet knifes, cle...

Very VERY nice, how low an angle can it go? I have made a guided sharpener too, out of perspex, fun to make and very effective :D http://spyderco.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52019 Thanks! I can adjust the clamp plate and go to 0 handheld. I looked at the link to your sharpener. Great idea and nice ...

One of a kind sharpener (pic)
Hi folks, I posted this for some of you DIY (and not so much cash) type guys. I’ve bought some ZDP-189 knifes and I really like the steel. I live on a small farm and use a knife daily and have been sharpening with the sharpmaker. The sharpmaker is great but it does take a while to sharpen the ZDP st...

I thought I had been getting my knifes sharp and removing the burr until I started to strop a chefs knife after grinding a new edge on a very abused knife today. I built a sharpening jig similar to the edge pro only larger and rods to use the sharpmaker stones. I used the diamond, medium, fine, and ...

No. He never said it was open in his pocket. He did say the police officer had trouble opening it which makes me believe it was closed. Wonder what he's saying here? Hey Everyone, Last night I was on the Skytrain with four of my friends with a bottle of open wine in a paper bag when I suddenly felt ...

Hey Everyone, Last night I was on the Skytrain with four of my friends with a bottle of open wine in a paper bag when I suddenly felt my knife – a spyderco endure wave – taken out of my rear pocket. When I looked behind me I was greeted by two transit police officers. At this point the male police ...
