Hi guys. How do you guys store your knives and how do you prevent this from happening? In the case or safe they're stored in you can use a high capacity Eva-Dry mini-dehumidifier that can be renewed (dried) in a wall socket. I use Flitz gun and knife wax on my pistols and knifes. It's a solvent-fre...

I agree that the scratch would bother me but not as much as the open seam. I just got a G-10 D'fly with liners and the back looks like one piece of metal.
Good Luck!

Sharpened my zt0350, any tips on how to get that recurve as sharp as the rest of the knife? Because right now im pretty pissed off about this knife and its lack of sharpness I had a Kershaw Shallot Damascus Blade, which is now at the bottom of the Coosawattee river, that had a similar shape blade a...

I not sure some of the younger folks would know what that is! ... :)

You could round it like a d'fly.

I was wondering what type of edge people prefer on the Dragonfly salt? I plan on purchasing one tomorrow and I cannot decide on what edge type to get. Not a d'fly but I bought my wife a saver salt SE a couple of months back and she loves it. She said,"I just have to touch the hay string."...

I never had a problem to use provided steak knife at any decent place around here. If knife would fail to cut, I would rather ask a waiter a different knife that pulling out my EDC. I'd ask the waiter for a different steak. If I'm out for a nice steak and have to use a :spyder: to cut it I went to ...

Don't know if it's "compatible" but the Sage 1 is a really nice knife. I would highly recommend it or a Para 2. Both are GREAT knives. If you could find a grey Para 2 with the 20CP at a decent price, or the blue M390 as Bearcat1 said, IMO you would be very happy. :D BTW you have a very ni...

There isn't really a step between the Stretch and Delica with zdp-189 available. Nice collection tho! Might save up, a zdp-189/cf Caly3.5 is in the works I hear. Thanks Blerv! I thought that was correct but was looking for a knife with a comparable steel to ZDP to fit between. I took a picture comp...

New D'fly ZDP-189.....What Next?

I received my d'fly to go with the other BRG ZDP-189 :spyder: . I have an endura on the way and I think that's all the BRG ZDP :spyder: I've seen. I got them all sharpened at 24 degrees and they'll all fillet paper. The Stretch gets the most use around the farm and I'm pleased with the way the steel...

If it came with a 30 degree angle, I removed quite a bit of the shoulder, it is probably 22 to 24 degrees now and it maintains the edge well.

Stretch ZDP-189

Amazing knife! I've had and used the Stretch for a couple of months now and it's my all time favorite. I've worked construction, farmed, hunted, served in the military, and have used a knife for 55 years. I started with an Old Timer and moved to Buck and then Puma. This is my first Spyderco and I've...

I ordered from one of the knife shops mentioned here often. I received it for the price of the ZDP FRN model and now that I know the other models don't have liners I feel better about this knife. I have at least until Monday to decide.

Thanks guys for taking the time to reply. The G10 model has full length drilled liners and scales. It's quite a bit more expensive than a liner less FRN injection molded knife, also heavier. Either is going to be quite study, the g10 more-so late to the reinforced pivot. That's the answer I was look...

Dragonfly Question

Is the Dragonfly VG-10 with G-10 scales more expensive than FRN VG-10 and ZDP-189 because it has liners? Is the G-10 scales the only one with liners?
Thanks!
