Another vote for the Photon! I have the terquiose (Sp?) light in the Photon II version, and it is sweet! Talk about bright? This baby will light up a good sized room, and even has a switch on it to "lock" the beam to "on" if you wish. I have never had it come on in my pocket, and...

Good point, ATE. Sadly, it sounds true. My only thought on this subject about the Catcherman being a weapon, is that the blade is way to flexible to be any good at "sticking" someone. I mean, who's gonna' try to stab someone with a fillet knife? ( You could, but talk about impractical.<img...

Jeff, Right-o, mate. The Native for 2002 will indeed have available the 35/65 or the PlainEdge variations. The 2002 Spyderco book I have states, "The blade steel is VG-10 (Japanese manufacture) or CPM440V (US manufacture). T...

Spin, I'm not really sure just how much the new SS Harpy will cost. My guess is that it will be in the ballpark of $65 to $70 range. (US currency). You could ask Linda Glasshartt (She is on this forum, and is a dealer) or you c...

Spin, You're right, there is a SS C08 plain-edge version of the Harpy being made for this year. And, the steel has been upgraded to VG-10. Another added feature is the David Boye dent in the locking lever. I haven't seen them on the market yet, but I think that they are coming out soon. Those babies...

Bob Dozier designed "Thorn" folder

I was just going through my old A.G. Russell catalogs and I came across this really neat folder. It was designed by knifemaker Bob Dozier and produced by Ka-Bar. ( If you're interested in a pic, go to A.G.'s web-site for a close-up. Here is his site: http://www.agrussell.com ). The Thorn features a ...

Eagle, There are a few ways to spot a "fake" Spyderco knife on the Net: 1. They aren't usually listed as "Spyderco Knives" but rather "Spyderco-Like knives". 2. The price on the knives will be very low. 3. They won't have names like Merlin, Delica, Ladybug, etc. Just so...
