Well, I'm a lefty myself, and I'm pretty comfortable with tip up. In fact, many (if not all) of Spyderco's reversible clip, southpaw-friendly knives are tip up models. Right now, I'm carrying too Matriarchs, one in each front pants pocket. That being said, I've also carried tip down folders for an e...

John, could you give us a review of Janich's class after you attend? I believe more than a few of us would be interested in reading about what it was like.

Miss D: IMHO, you did the right thing. I mean, what if he wanted more than just your bag? What if he started hitting you? Some crooks don't need a reaction to hurt their victims; they'll do it to intimidate them, or just out of plain meanness. The bottom line is, it worked. Congratulations on your c...

I'd really love to see a FRN (meaning lightweight and ambi clip) version of the Wegner... Any chances, Sal?

My wife is the new proud owner of a plain edge SpyderCard (ended up buying one for myself as well). We both love it. It's the fourth Spydie I give her so far.

I think FRN in colors would be great (nothing against basic black, mind you). I really love my Matriarchs in grey.

I agree with Dennis - a lightweight Wegner would be great. I've always wanted that folder, but haven't bought it cause the clip is in the wrong place for a southpaw like myself. A FRN version would mean a reversible clip - problem solved!
If it ever gets made, I'll buy it!

Carlos said: "It seems to me that there are three basic reasons why collectors are clamoring over the Matriarch (besides from just wanting something we can't have), rather than just buying the readily available Civilian: 1. Much lower price (which is why it is being restricted) 2. Shorter blade...

They certainly do handle foreign orders at SFO - I've just received a couple Matriarchs I ordered from them, and I couldn't be happier. Angela and the rest of the crew are a class act.

Of course you did the right thing - there's nothing to be ashamed of. The way I see it, those who abuse their tools don't deserve them anyway. If I were you, I'd have done the same thing.

Doc is right, the old style Endura is a very nice knife, very comfortable in the hand. I bought it as soon as it came out; now it belongs to my wife, who carries it everywhere. As a southpaw, though, I sure like the reversible clips on the new Enduras... and I'm also glad I don't have to have only o...
