Re: DF2 blade play question
All of my backlocks have vertical play if enough force is made. 7 Delicas, 1 Native 5, 1 Dragonfly 2 Salt. ALL.
As already said I believe it's inherit to the design.

Re: MAP policy change? 35%
MSRP on the Shaman went up from $249.95 to $279.95 which is a 10.7% increase. Of course, the MAP discount off MSRP went from 40% to 35% (that by itself is an 8.33% increase in street price). The combination of the MSRP increase and change in MAP, has effectively increased the street price by $32.00...

I agree.elena86 wrote:It's true that the Delica4 handle was an improvement vs D3 but the Endura4 handle was a step down IMO.So many people like the Endura3 handle more so it's a mistery to me why they insist in changing something that just works. We'll see ...

Re: MAP policy change? 35%
There is one thing we got to remember.. This is a hobby.. Nothing more or less.. Justa hobby.. Not a necessity.. In reality we can get by with 1 knife.. We really don't need a pile!! (Did I really say that?? :o ) As I read thru these posts there were some that I wanted to cheer about and some not s...

Kids cost a lot... So nothing for dad this year :) Dad buys enough knives through the year Same here! And I didn't give any product as well, only experiences. I made personalized vouchers for dinners, beer garden, etc. This way, besides buying something for someone I also share time together with a...

Re: Is it just me... ?
I like backlocks: easy to use, ambidextrous, strong.
My phone doesn't like them so much as it seems to prefer "back licks" much more.

Rit dye and knife disassembling
Is it advisable to disassemble the knife before dyeing the scales?
Some knives are pinned and cannot be disassembled, is that a problem for dying the scales? Does the boiling mess up the temper?
Thanks in advance.

SOG Visionary I. A good knife actually, but the Delica 4 has such a comfortable handle that I couldn't go back to the SOG.

Re: Admitting when wrong
My first spyderco was a Delica and although I never stopped loving it I tried many "better" folders and always went back to my trusty Delicas for when I needed the job done. It's my favorite design, I handled most of the Spyderco's releases on the last years, I had other folders costing th...
