All of my backlocks have vertical play if enough force is made. 7 Delicas, 1 Native 5, 1 Dragonfly 2 Salt. ALL.
As already said I believe it's inherit to the design.

I like backlocks: easy to use, ambidextrous, strong.
My phone doesn't like them so much as it seems to prefer "back licks" much more.

Is it advisable to disassemble the knife before dyeing the scales?
Some knives are pinned and cannot be disassembled, is that a problem for dying the scales? Does the boiling mess up the temper?
