Re: Hunt for orange

I too love the orange. So much so that I dyed the Natural G 10 scales on my M4 ParaMilitary 2 orange. https://i.imgur.com/udffBy9.jpg Here’s my Manix 2, Delica, and Dragonfly https://i.imgur.com/pSOFSNf.jpg As for the orange PM3LW, who knows. Maybe next year. Maybe the year after that. One thing you...

Re: Para 3 lightweight

Mine came yesterday from GPKnives. ..... The Para 3 feels better in my hand than the Lightweight Native 5. I can get a 4 finger grip without using the choil. Something I can’t do in the Native 5. The edges on the Para 3 are more rounded and comfortable. They are the same thickness. ..... That´s int...

Re: Squared/Rectangular Handle Scales: Do you like them or not?

After comparing the Lightweight Native 5 and the Lightweight Para 3 I think I prefer the more rounded Para 3

Re: Para 3 lightweight

Mine came yesterday from GPKnives. https://i.imgur.com/OHezN3Y.jpg My first impression was it’s bigger than I thought it would be. I really like it a lot and have carried it all day (after flipping the clip to the correct side) I compared the feeling in the hand to the Lightweight Native 5 and Delic...

Re: Chaparral LW FRN Wire Clip Question

Most all of my Spydercos have the wire clip due to low profile, and deep carry but they are more prone to jumping out of your pocket when caught on jacket hems, seat belts, etc. There are two things I have done in the past that do tighten their grip in the pocket somewhat. The 1st (and best way IMO...

Re: Sharpmaker advice. Tip control

You can start by placing the tip at the bottom of the stone and moving upwards while pushing the blade forward. This would be edge trailing as opposed to edge leading. What I did to get better control was to mount the Sharpmaker down to a heavy piece of countertop. This way I can use both hands on t...

Re: Waiting for my new Spyderco Manix2 to arrive today.

I got a little crazy waiting for Knife Works exclusive green 204 Military to arrive. I literally left work 4 hours early, so I would be home when it got delivered. I know it’s ridiculous, but I would have been pissed if someone walked off with it while I was at work. Side note, Knife Works has grea...

I love the Chaparral Lightweight

I had to cover for a co-worker on Labor Day - a 12 hour shift. I got bored and bought a Chaparral Lightweight on a whim. I absolutely love this little knife. It may just end up being my favorite. I have a regular Chaparral too. But the lightweight version takes it to a new level. I fear this may be ...

This is a Wicked Edge Field and Sport.

I upgraded the vise to the 2017 Gen 3 vise with longer arms.

I also added 800/1000 and 1200/1600 stones.

Maxamet Native 5 - first thought

I've been carrying an S110V lightweight Native as my work knife since they came out. I recently picked up a Maxamet version. My first thought when I opened my new Maxamet Native 5 was - this is heavier. Sure enough - it's 0.05 ounces heavier. It's funny to me that anyone could even tell the differen...
