Thanks for the pics and reviews, a gorgeous knife and blade design to be sure. It's interesting that there is no lanyard hole (not really a deal breaker for me just pointing it out). For me, the height of a knife is much more noticeable in pocket than the length, so I'm sure this one would carry qui...

I carried my R nishijin sprint run. I've been carrying it more and more recently, it's got quite a bit of edge and people think it's pretty.

...reminds me of my all time fave Police models with beautiful curves . I had the same impression. I was also interested in this one, since I'm a fan of backlocks and like the unique looks. As you mention it offers lots of edge for the size and weight. I don't have a police yet, but if I got one it...

I'm gonna throw in another vote for jimping. I have knives with many different styles of jimping, and I find all of them useful and comfortable. I could live without the proud liners on the Manix XL, but the rest of the jimping on both the ramp and the choil is a plus IMO.

Manix XL on the right, "R" SE on left, Delica4 in the back pocket, and may as well throw the Benchmade Osbourne all-black into the shoe for ultimate tacticoolness.

I don't want to be a naysayer INFRNL, but using steel wool on the ChapTi is probably a bad idea. While a scratch could be removed with steel wool or buffing, you'd definitely start to lose some of what makes this knife unique: the sharp contrast between the facets as well as the subtle effect of the...

I would say the Delica4 is my most useful and most carried, but I keep a green Tenacious at the job as a beater and it might actually be able to boast a larger volume of cutting than the D4. It's probably a common phenomenon, but neither of these is my favorite, which goes to my Manix XL. If the apo...

My holes were actually small. The Halpern pins didn't fit through one of the holes originally.

I have both Delicas and although I love the look of the G10 version, it doesn't see nearly the pocket time of the FRN. Spyderco does FRN right, you won't be disappointed.

I love my D4. I'm never worried about it rusting or getting scratched. I enjoy carrying my other knives as well, but the D4 is never the wrong one to carry, and I carry it more than the rest combined.

Although "taller" knives do indeed fill the pocket, they also fill the hand. Especially when giving up some of that to have flat scales for a thinner profile, I think it's beneficial for larger designs to be a bit taller. What's great is that no matter what your preference, you have option...

Splice, the Manix XL is my favorite spydie to date, if not my most-carried (FRN Delica). I've admittedly never held a superleaf, but I was always puzzled by the price difference over the XL, since they seemed very similar to me on paper. Now that the superleaf can be had for a similar price, I'd be ...

For me the real question is not how "grippy" the texture of the flats are, but how well is my hand locked in place by the ergos of the knife itself. I would thing something with a choil would help secure the grip for intense cutting tasks in wet conditions. I would think that any of the op...
