Re: Micarta handles for shaman

If canvas micarta will be the option, I agree with Sal about brown micarta. Handle on Temperance2 look and feel great.

KC has a great price on theirs and it is still available.
I was sold out few weeks ago, but I am shocked how long did it take.

Re: Identifying a fake Ti Native 5

Yupp, i saw the dlt one too, but I'm a jew... Gotta save those pennies! I'll sleep on it and see how I feel in the morning. Thanks :D Frankly I wouldn't buy a knife from private seller, if there are known fakes of this model . Especially, if you do not know what is the difference between Spyderco a...

Re: 2018 Forum Knife?

I like the idea of a forum knife to celebrate a fellow forumite. I think the Jazz delica in goldenrod is certainly a contender - I just worry that it may get a bit overlooked with the hap-40 version coming (soon?) as well as all the v-toku2. If it were linerless g10, then it would be a distinctly d...

Re: BladeHQ Exclusive Native 5 Jade G10 CPM-M4

Funny how the knife community coined the term “jade” G10. Don’t get me wrong, I love my latest PM2 from bladehq but let’s call it what it is. Natural G10. It’s simply G10 in its raw form. We go through hundreds of sheets of the stuff and for us at least, it is by far the cheapest G10 you can purcha...

Exciting to finally see an M4 Native! Still not a fan of the Jade g10, but nice to see none the less!
I am 100% with you. I love the idea of CPM M4 N5, but hate Jade g10

Re: 2018 Forum Knife?

I like the idea of having a new edition of a forum knife. Even though I know that the last one wasn't a quick seller. I guess this means that there needs to be a change of the configuration. I'm aware that I'm most likely part of a minority when I say that I'd hope for a non FRN knife. Hey, what th...

Re: I wish Spyderco would make...

A no-BS dedicated 8" cook's knife. Not a Santoku, no serrations, just a true purpose-built cook's knife. I'm thinking something along the lines of the older French knives that today would be considered a hybrid of a Gyuto and western chef's knife. A flatter knife but with enough belly to still...

Re: Identify these unknown limited runs please

If I remember correctly. Calypso Jr is 2005 and Delica is 2006 sprint runs. Both runs were 1200 pieces. If they mint with original boxes, they can have some collector value. Recently Delicas were sold from $111 to $215. Burgundy Calypso I didn't see for sale lately, but I am not watching. Good luck...

On left, 2010 Endura4 (C10GRE) (assuming Spyderwiki fails to note blue as variant in shift to full-flat ground).
it is Delica. I used to have it.

Without of doubts Maxamet blade can do many things, which S90V cannot. All depends on our needs and desires.

Re: What do you want to see more of from Spyderco?

So a Ronin 3 and yojimbo 3 in maxamet? I'm good with my yojimbo 2 I missed out on the S90V, and I think the Maxamet is better steel. Better for what? Edge retention, scoring glass, cutting tin? I see. I use different tool for scoring glass and cutting tin. Edge retention of S90v is quite sufficient...
