Re: Real or Fake: PM2 in Cruwear

If you buy from Amazon, buy from Amazon, not one of their vendors. Although there are some Spyderco dealers on Amazon; Outiftter Country is one that comes to mind. I was always told that when you buy directly from Amazon, they get the items directly from the manufacturer. To avoid all doubt, buy fro...

S30V is good steel. What don't you like about it?

Re: PM2 in S35vn with black (DLC) blade, ever?

There's not a huge difference between S30V and S35VN in the real world. I doubt anyone could tell the difference in a "blind taste test" if their reputation was on the line.

Re: After carrying the UKPK...

I want to carry a slipjoint, but after I've seen how miserably they do on the spine whack tests, there's not way I'd ever carry one. I mean, come on, a knife that cannot take being beaten against the spine? Everyone knows that real knife users put their knives through this sort of thing everyday...

Re: Official Sliverax Discussion Thread

Well I caved and ordered one. I'm not the biggest fan of GP but I'll give them a chance to prove me wrong. Just out of curiosity, why aren’t you a fan of GP Knives? I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with them. I need to edit that post. It wasn't about GP, I had them confused with another ve...

Re: Benchmade Proper

I looked at one, but it has a pretty weak spring. That turned me off. I like a slipjoint to have a more positive snap open/close. Also, when opened half way, the weak spring bugged me. I like the looks though.

Re: 3 PM2's / 3 different actions

Get a torx driver and adjust your pivot. It should be as simple as that. Some like a free falling blade and some like to need a gentle wrist flick. With a torx driver you can set it how you like it. With backlocks and liner locks I prefer to need a slight gentle wrist flick for safety. With other l...

3 PM2's / 3 different actions

I've got 3 different PM2's, and they each have different actions. I'm wondering if those who have the same PM2 models as me have noticed the same thing. All 3 have rock solid lockup, with zero blade play. S110V: Silky smooth right out of the box. The absolute smoothest PM2 I've ever handled. Free dr...

Re: Loving the Para 3

A "deep carry" clip like the Casey Lynch model I have on my Para 3 does not make it a deep carry knife. It makes the Para 3 a "normal carry" knife that sticks out about the same as a Delica or PM2 or Native 5. This. I really like how the MXG Gear clip makes my Para 3 knives 'nor...

GP Knives is my favorite, but Knifeworks, Blade HQ, DLT Trading, New Graham are all good, reputable vendors.

Re: Rit Dye - Tips, tricks and pics

http://i.imgur.com/ugLGGoeh.jpg That is a GREAT looking PM2. Looks like it's serving you well. I absolutely love to see pics of knives that have natural wear on them. Although some of the forced patinas that I've seen look great too. Not a fan of the pattern type patinas, however. But the ones that...

Re: Para 3 and CQI

I put MXG Gear deep carry clips on my (2) Para 3's. The deep carry clips have completely transformed the knives. I don't like clips that bury the knife 100% in the pocket. The MXG Gear clips leave just enough of the knife exposed to grab when pulling it out of your pocket.

I've been doing just this for the last few weeks and love it. If it's not in my main pocket, it sits nicely in my watch/coin pocket of my jeans.

Re: Tip down/Military epiphany

Hey D, when you carry your millie in your front pocket do you clip towards front of the pocket (closer to your center line) or towards the rear of the pocket (closer to your hip)? Outer seam towards my hip/rear pocket. No worries of the blade opening since it's not against the seam of your pocket? ...

How Are Spyderco Blades Sharpened @ the Factory?

How are the blades on our beloved Spydies sharpened at the factory? Are they completely done by hand, i.e. on a belt sander without any sort of guide? Or are they done by hand using a guide to ensure that all blades have the same angles? Or, are they done by machine, completely taking the human erro...
