Anyway: I do hope the Mini Siren is a genuine Lance Clinton design and he´ll get some credit for it
The mini Siren is indeed Lance's design, that he submitted to Spyderco after the release of the original.

Hearing that a mini Siren and a BBB folder were spotted is very exciting news to me! Both are knives I look forward to carrying!

Re: Atlanta Blade Show

…we went straight to the prototype section in the corner and the Manix 2 lw salt was the first knife I held and it was SWEET, then the Para 3 lw salt caught my eye as well as the mini Kapara and Chad Kelly Piute…the Bodacious was off the charts good too…wasn’t allowed to take photos but still an Aw...

Re: Why don't you Baton?

Why don't I baton? Two reasons, 1) I live on the treeless praire where there is no bush to craft. 2) My problem solving skills surpassed "beat it with a stick" when I was five. Thanks for the reply. Both very valid reasons not to baton. And, yeah I am not trying to solve a problem either....

Good on ya. I'm glad you're able to put the sine plates to good use.

I think of how nice you were to give me those sine plates each and every time I use them. Your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. Thank you again!

Re: Heron by Chad Kelly ... collab?

Chad, I reread this thread. What a great collection of pictures, kind words, and stories from you and Sal. What I liked most was your walking through of your thought process on features of the knives. I had no idea back locks were that challenging. Back on Page 4, you talked about changing the lock...

Re: Why don't you Baton?

I'm curious if anyone here has broken a knife or hurt themselves as a result of batonning. I've taught my kids how to split wood with their knives. But, I can't say I've ever used a Mule for this purpose. Here's my daughter learning to baton in the John Muir Wilderness (just below 10,000' where fire...

Re: Heron by Chad Kelly ... collab?

Hi Chad, Eric has the proto and he said he's been carrying it for a while. I get to play with it when we're back in Golden mid June. Spyderco has had numerous ups and down over the years. Came close to closing at least 3 times that I can remember. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger"...

Love the "locking bolsters." You keep finding ways to make a better knife! Very clever. Thank you Bolster! Beveled bolsters has been a feature I've admired on a lot of great knife makers' knives for a long time. I just didn't have the tooling set up to confidently and consistently achieve...
