Re: Spyderco Kitchen knives

Just like anything, proper expectations and maintenance will effect your outcome, but my experience with both the z-cut as well as the spyderco/Carter bd1n bunko have been great! Mine sees nearly daily use for 90% of my kitchen needs over the last 6 months. I’m still working with the factory bevel…I...

Re: Suggestions for a non-flexible serrated kitchen knife

SG89, I have a run of the mill white poly handle SCALLOPED and curved bread knife. It was less than $20 and worked fine, but as suggested above, a toothy sharp chef knife works just as well with bread. The scalloped knife is great for watermelon though. For something a bit more refined but still ser...

Re: Slipit Saturday

Any fan of Spyderco slipit’s should treat themselves to a Byrd tern! Even at ~$40usd, it’s a great deal! It’s linerless g10 construction with a full length spring/backspacer. The chamfering is great. The g10 texture is smooth but plenty grippy. The “mid” detent is nice and strong. I’ve had the good ...

Sending this to the future. Saturday's carry. Screen Shot 2022-04-29 at 11.46.40 AM.jpg Regretting not grabbing one of these when they were in stock…hopefully later. Frankly, I’m not sure why more folks don’t gravitate to these knives. They are very light; have fantastic ergos; great slicers; ALL t...

Re: Show your Bugs and Critters

Last year, I found a dead crow under a tree in my backyard, no obvious cause of death. I called animal control to come get it, but they weren't going to. So I sprayed the carcass with Raid, put it in a Glad trash bag, and put it into the trash bin. Not sure why I shared that...🤪 Jim At least you di...

I used an Elmax PM2 to open packages containing 2 NRA paddles and 2 NRS Ion PFDs. Good times ahead!
