I remember a thread a couple years ago when a guy ran over a Salt 1 blade with a bobcat and it bent the blade like a boomerang but did not brake it. I guess Saver Salt would get my vote.

I do check for clips regularly.

Unless I get something that does not cut well enough, I use the factory edge until it requires a touch up.

I would suggest sending it back to Spyderco to be re-serrated by warranty/repair. Once you have it back, maintain it constantly with the Sharpmaker.

Yes, there are mounting holes, one in each corner of the base.

Just so I'm clear, Scorpion, you still have the factory edge on your Manbug? One of your pics of the obverse side looks like it might have a non-factory micro bevel, but I'm just curious.

I have many options for sharpening Spyderco knives. Anything from a ceramic mug up to a 2"x72" belt grinder. I do use the Sharpmaker a lot. Even on serrated edges. :)
