Re: What knives are you planning on since the Amsterdam meet?
I like the Nirvana although it's not as good as it should have been with deep carry clip, thumb pad ,ffg blade and extended tang
Re: Vaseline
Petroleum-based lubricants will ruin knives with Brass liners but as long as you put it on Spyderco knives you'll be okay

Re: Cutting the Cord: Life Without Television
I have never had any pay TV. I have an old rusty antenna and get about sixty channels. There's not anything on TV worth watching anyway unless it's something about fifty years old because of the way TV has been hijacked

Re: LCR 357 or 38+P
I just never liked the snub nose revolvers because I could never hit the broad side of a barn with one. That's why I suggested a Glock 26 at the beginning of thi s thread. However I have what I consider the best revolver ever made also. I'm talking about the S&W model 64-8 stainless. It's also q...

Re: 3 in 1 motor oil okay for rust prevention on Spyderco blades?
Anything is okay as long as it's not on a slip joint with Brass liners in which case it will totally destroy your knife. I used some synthetic called Eezox and when the bottle was empty I filled it with the same 0-20 Mobil 1 that I use in my car

Re: Sal what are the longterm Caly plans?
I still say the Caly 3.5 is the best knife Spyderco has ever made. Mine is buttery smooth and has probably been opened and closed 100,000 because I sit and play with it while watching TV and it shows no play in any direction. The only knife I really want from the 2016 catalog is the CF Caly 3.5 and ...

Re: Any Benchmade Fans Here?
Still waiting on you tube reviews for the 490. I always want to see several positive reviews on a knife before I decide to buy
Re: Catalog
There are only two that I'm interested in. The Caly 3.5 and the Titanium Damascus Endurance since it's stainless Damascus. Everything else is either over priced or makes absolutely no sense. Would love to have a Nirvana but that one is in the overpriced category

Re: Best Pistol light for Glock 17
I'm sure the TLR-1 is a better light but I was just in the market for one and came across the TLR-3 at Story's in Auburn Alabama and at a good price.

Re: Best Pistol light for Glock 17
I purchased a Streamlight TLR -3 and this thing is unbelievable to be powered by a single very small battery. I tried it out in the house first and it would illuminate a whole room with a very bright White light In the center with periferial that covered the entire room. Then I went outside and it w...

Re: Time for a tiny carry!
I have an all steel Dragonfly on my keychain rigged to a large steel ring via a smaller one like comes on a little Maglite Solitaire. This allows you to place your little finger in the larger ring like a Karambit and gives the feel of a much larger knife and aids in retention. I use this knife more ...

Re: Any Benchmade Fans Here?
I just got a new Benchmade catalog in the mail today and the 490 Amicus is the one to check out. I called Benchmade a while back complaining about the Emissary not having a flipper. The Lady I talked to said check out the 490 and she was right. Axis assisted opener with flipper, Drop point S90V and ...

Re: Best Pistol light for Glock 17
I have a wholesale catalog that shows the retail on that one at 151.95 so i would hope to get it for under $100. What about the cr2 lithium battery ? Are they easy to find and inexpensive?

Best Pistol light for Glock 17
I have a Glock 17 that I want to put a light on and would like any input anyone has. I have looked at a Streamlight and an Olight which was about half as much as the Streamlight but I don't know anything about those.

Re: Any Benchmade Fans Here?
I have tried several but they just don't do it for me. I wanted an Emmisary in Blue until I handled one . The beautiful knife screams for a flipper and even has an opening in front of the back spacer but I hate an assisted that you open with thumb stud. Give it a flipper and ffg blade and it would b...
