Re: The Delica Wharncliffe is the greatest work knife ever made.
Well said on all points and much agreed! I was a staunch supporter when it first came out and I’m glad to see it get as many different variations as it has. Your custom Titanium Damasteel version is the holiest of holy grail versions of this knife. I’ll never get tired of seeing that one. That’s a ...

Re: The Delica Wharncliffe is the greatest work knife ever made.
Well done post, OP! Your enthusiasm is apparently contagious: now I have to get one ASAP :) :D I really don't think you'll regret it! It's such an awesome knife. With the teal/S30V coming out soon, and the K390 version already on the market, it's a great time to be looking at the Delica Wharncliffe!

Re: Rockjumper opinions?
I really, really like the Rockjumper. It just feels so much more refined to me, compared to most of the other FRN lockbacks. You can really tell that a lot of thought went into it. Great, hand filling ergonomics, buttery smooth action, great blade shape, a handle forward design that brings the blade...

The Delica Wharncliffe is the greatest work knife ever made.
Seriously! Because it's a Delica, it has some of the best ergonomics available. The standard FRN scales are phenomenal too! They offer such a secure grip, while being very lightweight and durable... But even if the handle shape doesn't quite fit you, there are over a half dozen aftermarket scales th...

Re: Delica4 Lightweight CPM-S30V Wharncliffe Teal FRN C11FPWCTL MGE Wholesale (Japan)
The Delica Wharncliffe is easily my favorite Spyderco, so I’m tempted…. But I’ll probably hold off.
The VG-10 and orange/S30V versions didn’t stay in my collection long. I just couldn’t find a reason to carry them when I have Delica wharncliffes in Damasteel, Hap40, 20CV, and K390.

Re: Warranty woes
Spyderco received my Siren two weeks ago today. I'm hoping my issue is resolved sometime this week.
It's been nine weeks since I contacted them the first time. On the plus side, today I finally got a response to the email I sent to Spyderco five weeks ago...

Thanks. Any other suggestions? Their website is in a different language. They’re located in Germany, so of course they’re website isn’t completely in English. Anything of note on their website also has an English translation. If you email them, they speak English just fine, and can answer any quest...

Re: When did Native 5 go linerless?
I was pretty bummed when the Native 5 went linerless. So much so, that I too purchased a used S35VN Native 5 with liners, so that I could swap a Cruwear blade in to it (and have some african blackwood scales made). https://i.imgur.com/Xag3WWQ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/70nhgc9.jpg https://i.imgur.com/...

Re: When did Native 5 go linerless?
I agree 100% on using the Para 3 Lynch clip on the N5! Once I realized they really work well on it and didn’t have that little lip on the back end that protruded past the scales and backspacer, I switched all my N5s to those clips. I also like using them on the Ti and G10 Delica. https://i.imgur.co...

https://i.imgur.com/70nhgc9.jpg Whoaa is that the Lynch Para 3 clip on there? Looks like a great fit given the handle shape! Beautiful Native, btw! :smiling-heart-eyes Thanks! It is a Lynch Para 3 clip, good eye! I used to have it on my M4/Micarta Para 3, but I decided the standard Spyderco clip fi...

Re: My First Spyderco made in Taiwan
Not to disparage any of the other Spyderco factories, because I’ll take a Spyderco from any of their factories before I’ll take nearly any other factory produced knife…. But the Taichung and Golden factories do seem to be producing knives with the best fit and finish, as well as tolerances.

Re: Spyderco Heat Treat?
All I know about Spyderco's heat treat is that it consistently outperforms most of the other factory produced knives I have... The one possible exception might be the Italian made knives. If I remember correctly, they are produced by Fox knives, who uses the same heat treat facility as Viper and Lio...

My Paramilitary 2 came in today. :D It's BIG knife, lol. I have rather small hands, but we'll see how this goes, lol. Strangely, even with the large handle, it seems to fit my hand very, very well in every position other than when I choke up and use the choil. I'm going to carry it to work for a we...

The Tek-Wood scales came in the other day. I am very, very pleased with them. :D Excellent color (even a bit of chatoyance!) and excellent quality. https://i.imgur.com/Foeqx0V.jpg https://i.imgur.com/xi8GZ56.jpg Their Burlap Micarta is pretty great too. :) https://i.imgur.com/yoYBDaG.jpg https://i.i...
