Re: Best Spyderco value

Depends what you are looking for as far as value. If by value you mean some of the best knives made...any Spyderco will do. If by value you mean best bang for the buck where a budget may be in place, I strongly suggest you take a look at their “Value Line”. They have Twelve knives in this lineup, an...

Spyderco’s Tri-Angle Sharpmaker??

Would like to pick up an easy to use system to start sharpening my knives the proper way. I came across this system while doing some research. From what I have seen so far in reviews and on YouTube, system seems to be top notch, and gives a dull knife a razor sharp edge. Anyone have any experience w...

How Can I Tell If My Spyderco Is Fake??

Just purchased my first Spyderco knife, the Efficient. I have done my due diligence when it comes to researching certain characteristics to look for regarding Knock-Offs vs. Real. These are some of the things I have done to mitigate receiving a counterfeit Spyderco... - I purchased the knife from Am...

Re: Spyderco Efficient Problems

Lubricant preference is like beer preference...the one I use is the best. ;) All kidding aside, I use an old bottle of gun oil from a deceased relative. I think it's getting better every year :) . I use that, and a brand called 'coon pee', no joke. I don't drop it directly into the pivot, I drip it...

Re: Spyderco Efficient Problems

The efficient lock should wear in, but some pencil lead on the lock face may help I hope it does, because I tell you what, I absolutely love the knife. Probably the best knife I have ever owned, not that I have owned many over the years. But between the stiffness and the grinding...its enough to dr...

Re: Spyderco Efficient Problems

My suggestion would be to blow it out with compressed air, then lubricate again. This sounds to me like a new spydie, and should break in with time and use. If you loosen the pivot, you will break the loctite bond, possibly. Then the screw will loosen. Welcome to the forum! Thank you for the reply,...

Spyderco Efficient Problems

I Just purchased my first Spyderco knives, the Spyderco Efficient and Percistence . They’re both beautiful knives, and for the price, they are both everything I expected from Spyderco...well built and both are extremely comfortable in the hand. There’s just two things with the Efficient... 1- It’s v...
