Re: Is it a Watu or is it a Siren?

I don’t know, I think this is a “get both” scenario! ;) Seriously though, congrats on the Watu. It was never really on my radar but the design looks really cool in pics. Not sure why but it appeals to me in a way that the Chokwe never did. Really cool looking design...enjoy! I have a Siren on order...

Is it a Watu or is it a Siren?

It's a Watu!

Yay! I love seeing that orange KC box in the mail box.

Made my day, what a great little knife.

Re: I Don't Get The "Spydie-Flick."

I finally Googled Spydie flick and I must say that it is ok for a working knife environment and neat if you want to show your friends knife opening techniques, but completely incompatible for any type of tactical deployment.

Re: yojimbo salt

i’m glad to see this thread get some more traction. i hope spyderco is watching it. there’s definite demand for a yojimbo 2 salt (and a blacked out version as well). i just want to reiterate that s30v is fine for corrosion resistance. however, it can’t match lc200n. furthermore, in my opinion, a ma...

Re: Bring Back the Catcherman?

An FFG Catcherman in LC200N, would get my money, times two, atleast. Me too. Wouldn't that be kick ***? Probably bad timing due to the release of Gringo's folder. If I can't find one on E-Bay soon I'm just going to say F-it and bring the toxic green to Out Back Steak House. When this **** has blown...

Bring Back the Catcherman?

I have the toxic green USO sprint run but I don't want to use it because it has collector value. I would think an H1 or LC200 with black or yellow FRN would be relatively inexpensive to produce and a bit hit. :)

Re: The best pocket knife ever

Eh, we'll have to agree to disagree, I prefer the Baby Horn as a pocket knife. The only advantage a slippie has, is legality in some places. I don't pay attention to knife laws to begin with, so legality is a moot point for me. Same with guns, I carry one regardless of location or restrictions and ...

Re: Spyderco Siren Release Date?

It probably takes more to make a production Salt knife than most of us realize. I’m mostly just guessing but I think that the delay on this one has possibly been a result of making sure that every aspect and component of the Siren is fully worthy of the “Salt knife” designation. Sometimes it takes ...

A hawkbill is a slasher, a tanto should be illegal if going by blade shapes, as it is a stabber and that is way more fatal than slashing, am I right?

Oh, man. I would buy that knife in a heartbeat. Where was I when it was offered? confused

Oh, and I want to make sure this a pass-around and not a reach-around.

Re: What's your favorite thin & slicey Spydie?

I have a NIB USO Catcherman (toxic green with with black blade) that is very nicely thin and slicely. I'm still getting up the nerve to bring it out to dinner for cutting steak.

It also could be good for stealing toilet paper.

Re: Police 4 issue.

Mine has the same bump and also almost what looks like pitting in the rest of the spacer Seems like lock bars might be stamped out instead of laser cut, and then machined in the important places. I've seen the underside of them looking pretty ragged before. At least it's in a (mostly) hidden spot. ...
