Re: Street Steel Book Review

If Michael ever was involved in a knife fight is probably classified by the Firm. Chances are high it would have been in a hot and humid place with triple canopy....😋

Opfocus for Europeans?

Is it possible to apply for the Opfocus program from Europe? I see that it's for the US and Canadian but it would be wonderfull if we from Europe could also benefit from this program. I have been using Spyderco knives as a LEO, EMT and Nurse since the1990's. Buying knives direct at MSRP from Spyderc...

Re: Black Wire Clips for new batch of P'kals

I'm still waiting for a P'kal to pop up at the other side of the pond. Been scanning the European knife retailers for quit some time now but never seem to be able to find one.

Re: If you could have any knife in magnacut, why would you opt for another steel?

If it's an affordable steel with "better" properties on all fronts then yes i'll upgrade. But i'm more a model nut instead of a steel nut. I don't really hardly use my knives other then carrying it "just in case" and my main cutting task is cutting plastic wrappers and opening fo...

Re: Knife Laws are weird to me.

In Belgium there are forbidden knives and all the others need a "legal reason" The interpretation of what legal is is up to the judge. Not only that, "any object" you carry "with the INTENT to use or used in commiting a crime, is also a weapon". Basically this means the...

Double edged Clinch Pick available

For those who carry a small FB like the clinch pick . Southnarc has developed a double edged version of the Clinch Pick . Available on their shivworks website. Southnarc or Craig Douglas also co-designed the Reverse and P'kal with Spyderco.

Re: Preffering Stainless

I used to carry a Police model in uniform but opted back to the Endura because it just became too slick to use when wet.

The SS does give knives a nice heft and feels very strong. But they get scratched real fast. They are perfect as a presentation gift because of their ease of engraving.

Re: CENTOFANTE!

How long has the Centofante been a stable part of the Spyderco catalog? I always wondered why such a gentlemans folder stayed in the catalog unlike other models? I don't think sales are enormous compared with other models. I like the Centofante myself i just wonder why it's retained by Spyderco for ...

Re: Calling Larrin

Maybe stress-induced carbide precipitation due to sharpening? Sharpening a blade will cause tension in the edge resulting in carbides trying to reach a state of relaxation? You see this same effect in bearings.
