I'd like a Byrd spot/swick style neck knife myself. A large FB would also be cool, but that's a very competitive field.

Fancy:
C 60 Massad Ayoob - FFG SE blade with E4W shallow serration pattern and 1" PE at the tip, with black linen micarta handles, removable wave post, and 4 way clip.

Easy:
Orange Yojimbo- the tactical urban.

Any more detail on this one? Blade size/ shape, lock type, handle material, purpose? I've heard whispers about this one for about a year, but no idea what its all about, other than that its very "tuff" for a folder.

If we pre-order now, do they have to honor the listed price?

Thats awesome, I love wharnies, and this one in particular looks very functional.

I do it from the closed position pretty often. Works well, but not as well as a purpose built bottle opener.

They still haven't let me register, and that was like 3 months ago. I suspect I must be too unusual for them :p

Well, all infighting aside, I think its a very impressive design that will be well appreciated by the end user.

And, considering all those PC slipits that have been coming out, I found it quite refreshing to see that Spyderco has balanced things out with some more MBC blades. :D

I think we a meat test is just what the doctor ordered on this one.

I cant wait to send a PE model in to Tom Krein! Maybe to STR for a wave first though....

3" blade Low cost ($50-$100) -Centofante 4- 2mm thick wharncliff blade will show you what a PE can really do! Great value, and easy to carry. High cost($100+) -Caly 3 ZDP- a beautiful gents folder with superb ergos and incredible cutting perfromance. Rides very discreetly in the pocket. 4"...

Ebay and Bladeforums are the best for deals- especially the wanted to buy section on BF; I got my Massad Ayoob PE for $108 from a fine fellow over there.

The Stretch 2 is the more practical knife; the Manix 2 is the better value. Tough call.

A long and slim wharnie would be nice, or a reverse S blade. Maybe a Waved spearpoint blade.

But, there are plenty of leaf shape blades in the lineup as is, so IMO I think that Spyderco would be competing with itself by making yet another leaf.
