Re: The Species ( or type) Of Spyder That Hooked You?
My first Spyderco was a mid 90's Harpy. It was a nice knife, but it was always a secondary one for me. A PE knife was always the primary and I would slip the harpy into my back pocket. It was also not the one that hooked me. That was my second Spyderco about 15 years later, a Caly 3.5 with Aogami Su...

Re: Would you trade ...
Is it a FRN or CF stretch? Either way, I prefer the Stretch.
I am not a huge fan of the proud liners or weight of the GB1, but other than that it is a great knife.

Re: Just bought a Chokwe
I like the Chokwe but don't carry it all that often.
If the upper rear of the handle was rounded, it would probably get more carry time. Unfortunately it gets in the way when trying to get in my pockets.
I really like the knife though.

Not as old as many posted, but this one was made in April 2007. I carry it regularly.

It was a dealer exclusive not a sprint run, but the only one I bought last year was the Para 3 in 52100 and it is my favorite.

Re: Endura 4 ZDP-189 SE (C10SGRE)
In 2008, I got in an car accident where I was broadsided by an F250 in my Grand Cherokee. I ended up on my roof and had to be cut out of the safety belt. I vowed that it wouldn't happen again and have carried one in my back pocket since. It has been a workhorse for me. I am glad I got a backup when ...

Me too. I asked for one a while ago...
I have a feeling we will see the frn Caly 3.5 before this and I don't expect that any time soon.

Re: VToku2 vs. hap40 vs. VG10 steel
I don't have VToku2, but I have spent a lot of time with Super Blue. If it is anything like the VToku2, then I would say that it is probably the quickest to sharpen and takes a great edge, but is a non-stainless steel so the edge will start to degrade once it is used. VG10 is only slightly harder to...

Re: Deep carry pocket clips
Spyderco stubbornly holds on to their 1980's pocket clip design. Good :) Double good. I like Spyderco’s clips. Deep carry are just freakin’ homely. Just my opinion, of course. Also, you’re not hiding anything with a deep carry clip. Of all the Spydies, only the Para 3 needs work, but not a new clip...

Yes it happens every year.
Unfortunately, it has priced a number of the models beyond my range as my pay does not follow.
