anyone??? help??

I am looking for the best edge on a PE H1. I have a standard Sharpmaker (with brown and white stones)... would a rougher edge (softer steel) be better or should I stick with the white stones.

it would be nice to get a delica in s30v with a full flat grind. but that may not happen. i guess I can wait to get another later on since i seriously doubt the delica design is going anywhere

its a full flat grind. and I thought about a zdp but was concerned because I do alot of camping/canoeing/hunting/fishing etc etc. and I have heard the corrosion resistance is sub-par with VG-10. some-times hunting/everything trips last 3-5 days without being back to clean up anything

I am curious as to how long a delica 4 will last? I own and use a sharpmaker only. I only ask because i had a friend in what was such a kind gesture attempt to sharpen my knife and he removed quite a good amount of metal. after the hijacking i smoothed out the edge and it is good again but it raises...

I had the same thoughts just seems to be rolling pretty easily... I sharpen it on the sharpmaker at 40 degrees

I guess its just something that I will have to deal with when I cant carry the "larger" knife of choice.

I Have a delica and a dragonfly... but the dragon fly goes dull way way too quick.

are the hardness' different in the two models? bc my delica will hold a **** of an edge for a long time through harder use too

40 degrees along the edge... I use it for everything, it seems to always be with me especially when i cant have a bigger knife... like at work

I have had this knife for 3 months... and I have sharpened it on a sharpmaker only, but I can not get an edge to hold, it seems to roll really easy... i love the knife but am getting frustrated any advice
