Re: Knife Joker GITD Jester 20CV!!

Mine's expected tomorrow (Sat.) -- not bad for a couple of thousand miles (and I think it was just 1st class).

Re: Knife Joker GITD Jester 20CV!!

.... The bead was cool surprise in the bag from TKJ. Sticker too. Put my thumb on the back of the spine and cut in deep to a paper towel roll, the design makes sense. I mean you can thumb assist a normal ladybug, but the jester divot makes it easier, and you can really bear down with the tip. Cool ...

Re: Knife Joker GITD Jester 20CV!!

I don't recall ever having any trouble getting into their site, maybe because I use chrome, or maybe I just didn't try when they were having problems. The first time took a few seconds because I left off the "the" on the front of their name, and I don't think google was familiar enough to ...

Re: Would anyone else like to see the Delica get a forward finger choir?

I agree about the radius for the leading bottom area of the scales. I just finished trimming and sanding out the area behind the choil on my micarta scales for my new K390 Stretch, so my index finger wouldn't be mashed or forced aftward on the handle. I've done the same on aftermarket scales for th...

Re: Knives you wanted to dislike but ended up loving

Dodo. Six or seven years ago, a salesman at a knife counter saw that I was grooving on the Spydies and held up a blue Dodo for me to look at. I gave him a "Do you think I'm crazy?" look and he sheepishly put it away. I could have got it for around $100. There's a blue one on eBay now for $...

Re: Would anyone else like to see the Delica get a forward finger choir?

And, no question, Spyderco listens and succeeds partly because it does. But sitting in the cheap seats, as I do, I wish they’d listen a little less to the cash cows behind all the exclusives of late. These exclusives seem to have suffocated production of models supposedly in the catalog, and new mo...

Re: Would anyone else like to see the Delica get a forward finger choir?

I might add that I think the minimal choil on the Military is great. It's sort of a compromise choil. I've never seen anybody complain about it being there or not being deep enough. Interestingly, my one complaint about the Military is its "non-committal" choil. Touche :D I thought I migh...

Down to 130 left.

Where are you getting the in-stock count?
Add 1000 to your cart. You'll get a pop-up that there are 108 in stock(currently).
(Just remember not to accidentally hit the checkout button ;) )

Re: Knife Joker GITD Jester 20CV!!

The high wear resistance steels go forever on slicing tasks, but potentially chip when you lean on the edge. So what could be a better platform than a knife that you can't really lean into? With 20CV in a Jester, I figure I'll be able to cut paper, cardboard and twine more or less forever. I totall...

Re: Knife Joker GITD Jester 20CV!!

It was a surprise to me to see the box to check for $5 off for 125 points I didn't know I had, which brought it back down to $59.25, including shipping, and probably one reason it took me 35 min to complete the purchase :p

Although personally I'd settle for just doing it with the Endela. We could call it a Choilela or whatever.
Pretty sure that’s a hot sauce :D
That's Cholula, another of my favorites :p

Re: Would anyone else like to see the Delica get a forward finger choir?

Although personally I'd settle for just doing it with the Endela. We could call it a Choilela or whatever. How much difference would there be between a choiled Endela and a Stretch? That's a good point. It's really just 1/8th inch difference in length and a little over a half ounce with the scales ...

Re: Would anyone else like to see the Delica get a forward finger choir?

Kidding aside, I'm not a Delica fan for the reason that it has a very large radius to the index finger area. This scrunches my index finger back and I find it uncomfortable. I'd like a choil-less Delica just fine, but I want to be able to get my index comforably closer to the blade, with a tighter ...

Re: Knife Joker GITD Jester 20CV!!

Got my order in. This’ll be my first GITD knife and first Jester! ditto :D That's one reason I bought one... to check out the GITD so I'll know if I want to get the GITD Delica and do a scale swap onto a wharnie Delica if the K390 drops & I buy one (gotta look out for the future ;) ) It only to...

Re: Knife Joker GITD Jester 20CV!!

I'm trying to decide whether to get one or two. Anybody know what they charge for postage for a sub-$99 purchase? (It's free for >/= $99) I put a Triple black Wharnie Manbug in my cart and calculated shipping. $4.75 USPS 1st Class or $8.80 USPS Priority shipped to Tampa Bay, FL. I'm probably going ...
