To my shame I have to admit that I don't know that musical :o , hope you enjoyed playing Kurt. The Sound of Music is based on the true story of the Von Trapp family during WW2. I'm pretty sure Julie Andrew's played the nanny / wife of Mr. Von Trapp. It is worthing watching once...but not many more ...

Dear members, Well, my small homeland is often mistaken with the continent Australia, though we are in the middle of Central Europe ;) I tell you, it's a nice, quiet and peaceful living here (at least overall). I have a friend who was born in Austria. We are always joking around about how so many p...

I have a few Shuns. The first one I got was the 8" chef (non graton). I also have the extra wide santoku because it is easier to use like a chinese cleaver (a la scooping), 6" utility with alton angle, and 3.5" paring. I've never had any problems with chipping or tips. However I treat...

I was just eating my breakfast getting ready for school today when I spotted a Spyderco Police in a Canadian tv show called North of 60.

I was pretty amazed to see it in that show, because to my knowledge that was a pretty small show.

I very much dislike the Edgie. First off it doesn't lock. Secondly the built in sharpening system seems a bit awkward. The built in sharpener is only found on one side of the inside of the handle from what I can see. This means the edge has to be a chisel grind...otherwise you'll end up with a very ...

Heck they used to make Red Enduras with live blades when they had the integrated clip. And they don't anymore because they didn't want any accidents to occur with that colour coding safety system. Sal has said that before himself I'm pretty sure. If martial arts folks want to keep red handles on th...

Even if he did want to buy it, maybe he only wants to buy because he likes collecting all things Spyderco made. Besides not knowing h...

If you are going to carry a Gunting...get a sheath. The Ramp gets in the way if you carry it in your pocket and personally I find it too thick to carry comfortable IWB. The video is ok, but I also find it is only useful if you have another person to practice with. I'd trade your Yo for the Gunting a...

Does this make your blades or knives magnetic at all after a while? :) In the store I work at we use Bisbell magnet bars to hold up our kitchen knives for display. Rarely, but on a few occasions I've noticed the knives retaining a slight magnetic charge. Sometimes when I put them down on a wood cut...

Carbon V isn't Lynn Thompson's invention and its composition hasn't changed. It's a mixture of a specific steel and heat-treatment invented and developed by Dan Maragni. To my knowledge, it was the first large-scale production of a mystery steel and mystery heat-treatment preceding INFI and F3V. Un...

Isn't that just a lil "pot calling the kettle black" or whatever the saying is. Lynn Thompson isn't exactly the perfect role model either which undirtied hands. How many knife designs have Cold Steel borrowed without giving proper props to the original creaters? This is just the latest...I...

Funny, Australian regs seem much stricter, I remember a case when some nail scissors had to be put in the check-in luggage. I get the feeling they don't like screwdrivers either. Their knife / sword laws are stricter too compared to Canada and the US, Gun laws might be too ( I have no idea on that)...
