I just got my first sebbie a few weeks ago and while I think it is the highest quality folder I own, is the quality difference worth the price difference to me? No. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't splurge and have one of the best "mass produced" knives out there.

long story short... We had shot a 5ft gator and it had enough fight left to run up on the bank, we chased it up onto land and couldn't shoot it again due to the angles of the shot and where a miss might have gone so I whipped out my trusty CF Caly3 and dispatched the gator. It may sound crazy but it...

I know you said no broken tip stories but this one is different.

I actually broke the last 1/2" off the tip of my Caly3 ZDP/CF by stabbing an alligator in the head. Had the knife reground at Golden and now its back in the game.

the manix II I have has been a real treat. The knife came super sharp and it hasnt lost an edge and I have not treated it overly gentle.

I cannot wait for this knife. I have been EDCing an AUS-8 SE dragonfly for a few years now and it is a beast of a little knife. I think the addition of a more resilient steel is a good thing for sure.

the tip on the delica 4 saber grind is going to be stronger than the para 2. The para 2 is a superb knife and probably one of the best fitting knives I have bought in a while. However from what I have heard from other soldiers overseas a cheaper knife with a sound sharpening system is a better inves...

ZDP is not horrible to sharpen unless you let it get too dull. Touch ups are easy with the sharpmaker as long as it is not a full on re-profile. I wouldn't look at ZDP as a downfall rather a challenge to better your sharpening skills

I agree with other comments here, how is this spyderco's fault? I flung a PE dodo across my old apartment one time and the spine of the knife got a small nick on it. Should I call for a refund or just call the knife junk?
