I have been making them slowly, but that’s my Spyderco buzz nowadays. Have all but given up the folder game as I have too many for 5 lifetimes. Been making knives myself, but still love the Mules for testing and throwing a handle on. Mules got me started on the journey. Funny as I am making a choppe...

I would try a Dremel with a cut off disk. I mean the disk will cut hardened steel cleanly so I think it would work on a stone.
This :up-index-finger

You can buy diamond cutting wheels also for a Dremel.

Re: Hitachi White Steel

Would love to see and test a knife in Hitachi White Steel in a Mule. Have recent received a friction folder with a nice thick Hitachi White #1 blade and it’s a beast of a slicer that holds a nice edge for a great length. https://files.catbox.moe/eimoy9.jpeg Have a few chef knives half the thickness...

The SPY27 would be my pick.

Having several S30V knives I find the SPY27 a better steel to sharpen.

Re: Temu - 33 Layer Damascus VG10 Core

Ok to buy from Temu but don’t download the app (read a bit into it a while back) Plenty on google about it. https://time.com/6243738/temu-app-complaints/ Have bought a few things over time with a 50-50 of things being good or rubbish quality. Also a 50-50 chance of the thing ordered being the same a...

Re: If laws and public perception were no issue, would you carry a different knife?

Yes, I'd carry any of my 3-4 inch folders in public that I now carry at home. In my part of Aus it is not lawful to carry any folder (not even a tiny Vic Classic) unless "for a good and specific reason". "General utility" is not a good reason. :eye-roll Come up to Northern Austr...

When you have Bar Keepers as a friend, it doesn’t matter what steel you use….. ;)

The steel that is blowing me away lately is not Magnacut it’s SPY27 and I live in tropical Northern Australia where I have to cut through the humidity to get out the front door this time of the year.

Re: Your Ideal Folder for Hiking & Backpacking is....

I’m a fixed blade, if I’m hiking or backpacking. One of many Mules I have put a handle on or even a junction. Have plenty of smaller fixed blades that are the size of a folder and even lighter skeleton blades. https://files.catbox.moe/4fdds0.jpeg I LIKE that knife. I like skeleton handles too. What...

Re: Family friendly jokes

John invited his mother over for dinner one evening. During the meal, she couldn’t help but notice how attractive his roommate Judy was. She had been suspicious of a relationship between her son and his roommate for quite some time, but this only made her more curious. She watched the two of them in...
