Re: CPM 15V Sprint sharpening and performance thread

Interesting. I don't know what your experiences are with s110v, but it will dull, often through microfracuring which leave a micro-serratedge that keeps cutting/sawing through cardboard for quite some time. From your description, this sounds different. Yup, the behaviors of the two materials are def...

Re: CPM 15V Sprint sharpening and performance thread

I've been using the Über Manix for a week since last sharpening it. All the use as been relatively light duty, no hacking down manzanita bushes or cutting wire. While the performance was still good, I put the knife under the scope and discovered some deformation. Check out the first pic. The shiny ...

Re: ** 15v Manix2 Alerts Only Thread ** This is the wrong thread for discussion :)

I got the DLT message, and I think one from National a couple weeks back. None of the other usual sources have send me notifications. Maybe they only send out notifications a couple dozen at a time, to prevent their servers from getting jammed up. As much as I despise BHQ's practice of charging cust...

Re: M398 Mule Amboyna Burl Scales

First blank that arrived was the Amboyna Burl. So that's where I started. That's really pretty, PH. Nice work. You talked about a couple things that made me think. One was available tools. When I was a little kid, I liked playing with my grandfather's machine tools. I didn't really want to work wit...

If there were no such thing as steel snobs, we'd all be carrying blades of Bessemer steel.

now you'll probably post about it. the more you post about it, the more others will notice it. the more others notice it, the more they will buy it. the more buy it, the more are talking about it. the more are talking about it, the more people buy it. Re: upgraded steels for less popular models

if spyderco were to keep the vg10 in the lineup at the lower cost and add something like k390 (personally, i'd like to see salts too, but i know that typically means different molds are required), there would likely be a lot more positive commentary about the knife online, thereby selling more of e...

Dude! What IS that thing?
It looks like an Etch-A-Sketch made love to a Lite Brite.

But to answer your question, yes, Pages can open, modify, and save rtf files.

Re: Spyderco 2023 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

Those are all really interesting. Right now is one of those rare times when my knife collection and my covetousness are in perfect balance. I'm happy with what I have, and I don't desire anything new. However, tomorrow is a new year and it's only a matter of time before the new catalog comes out, d...

is a perfect example of what what social media is all about.

Re: Compression Lock

I don't despise the right-handed compression lock as much as I used to. In fact, I've grown to like my purple Cru-Wear PM2. I'd LOVE it if it was left-handed. The button seems appealing in that it would make the compression lock ambidextrous. However, in the picture it looks as if it sits taller tha...

Re: Attempting to Make Scales

The trick, I'm told, is to put just enough on the wood and then wipe it off. Then you buff the wood. Let it sit for an hour and do it again. I'll take a picture of the can so you can see the fine print. I'm sure something is done so that it doesn't harden. You do need to mix it up if it sits for a ...
