I understand completely. Even being very new to collecting Spydies, I somehow knew early on that the Stretch had to be among my first few ( came in about #4 of my current 8 ;) ). Also, I'm very happy with the FRN, I think it makes the knife much more "toter-freindly" than it might be with ...

.....But that being said, I would of thought the Para 2 was huge a couple of years ago so I guess you just never know. Same here. I've long been into small, unobtrusive, very lightweight knives, but since being bitten by "The Bug", I'm finding a tolerance for larger and heavier blades. Also...

That's very interesting, because I have an annoyingly abrasive action on my Delica CE, and had concluded the problem was exactly the same thing.
It's only detectable on a small spot, at about 3/4 of the way open, but I'm confident it was the same anomoly,in the same place.

...... Until then I will assume this is unsubstantiated rumor. Ok,you win, here ya go. I went to You-tube, and THE VERY FIRST THING I CLICKED ON, showed a nearly 50% increase in price between January of '11 and today. This reviewer quotes a $70 price on the ZDP Stretch, which sells right this minute...

While I didn't know about the 1/1/12 price increase that was not what MIL-DOT was referring to. He described price increases during 2011. Again, I'm not looking for a fight here, I'm just saying that during my casual research, often through You-Tube videos, I would often see the reviewer mention a ...

Hi Wouter, One pink Squeak for Liso coming up. :D sal Well, that's interesting ;) . I assumed this was still way back in the discussion stages. I'm also interested in the Squeak, but I'm getting a little weary of black knives, so some variety would definately get my attention. One small plea, if I ma...

Great replies guys, thanks again. I went by the leather shop today that I Googled up, the guy actually operates out of a trailer in the big parking lot of one of the major surplus stores just outside Fort Benning. The guy was working on a custom holster for someone's Taser gun when I walked in, LOL ...

Really? What knives?. Well,****,it's late and I'm not going to go digging around You-tube, but I recall the ZDP Stretch being cited as much lower than what they''re going for now, earlier this year, and a few others that I'm interested in,as well. The PM2 just went up $3 bucks this week at CS, and i...

Did anyone else notice the jump in prices on the mule knives? At double  the price of yesterday I don't think I'll be getting anymore mules. :( While this seems to have been a false alarm concerning the mules, as a relative newb here, I've been scrolling back through the archives, and have bee...

Can we get a tutorial on home-building a strop ?

I asked here about strops recently, and got some good responses, including a couple recommendations that I just build my own, which I took to heart. While I'm sure it's not rocket-surgery, the devis IS still always in the details. And, for the sake of argument, let's not only assume that I'm an idio...

Thanks guys, good info :) . Like you say, you can't really go wrong for $39,delivered, but other stuff keeps getting in the way !! Any updated reviews or impressions of the Cat?

I keep finding myself looking again at the humble little Cat, (in fact I already ordered one from CS, but turned around and cancelled the order and ordered a Stretch instead.) Anyway, I've scrolled back here to the point that they first came out, and they seem to have mostly ( but sometimes ambiguou...

My Sage just arrived yesterday, and I couldn't be more impressed, all the rave reviews didn't overstate things. My only concern with the sage as an EDC is the carbon fiber scales, as I often like to pocket carry, and could see the scales getting scuffed up by keys and such. Also, I have the same gree...
