Besides the blade, what other steels are used in Spydercos ?

Simply a "just out of curiosity" kinda thread, here. We're always talking and reading about the uber-premium steels used in the blades, but never much about what is used in the liners, lock mechanisms, screws, etc. I assume these are generally "stainless steel" but I'm curious beyon...

I'm saying I don't see it as a big issue from what I can see in the pics. Some other dude from the former Confederacy said that there were gaps as big as the Grand Canyon or other exagerration. Then maybe just one more glance at the description from another "dude from the former Confederacy&qu...

I can't see what you are referring to in the photos. Do you have others that you could post? What is being referred to would be the giant chasms that look like the Grand Canyon as seen from an airliner at 30K feet, that run the length of the knife's back ( as seen in photo A and B ). The ones that ...

Considering how precise all of mine have been , I would be more than a bit annoyed with that. It's a PITA, but I think I'd send it back if/while you have the opportunity. If you don't, you know good and well that it'll get under your skin even more, and you'll later regret not trading it in for one ...

But, yadda,yadda,yadda.....long-story,short, I was torn between the blue and the maroon ( in fa...

I would think this is sufficient information for the purposes of this discussion,as it's only the blade quality and performance that is in question, right? ;)

WOO HOO !! New PM2 just arrived..DAYS EARLY !!!

How do they do it ??? I ordered an all-black PM2 from CS on Thursday, and they shipped the same day. It was scheduled to arrive on Tuesday, which likely meant Monday. But this Sat. a.m. I checked tracking just hoping to see that it had made it to Macon, but instead see that it's "out for delive...

Just want to give credit to honorable forum member "Blerv" for offering to send a new 2012 catalogue to some deserving soul, but when none spoke up, he sent it to me :D . So..."Thanks,Bro" !! Your act of selfless generosity reflects well not only on yourself, but on the character...

I can vouch personally and enthusiastically for both Sigs and Glocks ( my experience with these two exceeds all other autos, collectively). That being said, if I was buying brand new, I'd go for a $485 G19 over an $850 Sig 226, all day long, and never look back. $25 Glock magazines don't hurt the equ...

How's this for irony ?

So, after obstinately and steadfastly refusing to heed perfectly good and well intended advice from many here to get a PM2, I,admitedly, foolishly ignored these pleas, and somehow saw fit to first order numerous other trinkets and baubles ,instead. You know, stuff like Delicas and Natives,Stretches a...

..... the PM2, as it is the most refined Spyderco to date. Though I'm admitedly among the least qualified to opine on this question, from what I've observed from afar, I tend to agree with SQSAR's above post. The PM2 uses a highly popular and respected super-steel, but not one so new that the prove...
