Thanks for the pictures. They are both very cool. I especially like the "Image 2", good work knife.

Take care,

I've only used the Mini Dyad with micarta handles. It is a mite bit wide (,understandably,) but otherwise I really like the little knife.

Kahz,

Hope you get to feelin' better soon. I agree with you, the Mouse is a really neat knife and not overpriced. I use mine around the house a lot. It has a wonderful feel.

Take care,

Howdy Samo, I've given away a few Spydercos. The one I couldn't resist was a handicapped gentlemen who uses the clip to carry it on his boot...it was a NIB G-10 plain-edge Rookie and supposed to be my wife's birthday present. I'll have to find her something else unique before next year. Take care, stu

The suspense is killing me...why in the world would you not make an effort to claim such a wonderful knife?!

I'm ready for the "Win Ronin's Old Knife Contest", just enter by listing what you would tell Ronin to console him in the event he ever surfaced.

Halfway kidding,

Welcome Freshman, I am not a college student. I really like my Mini Dyad w/micarta handle. It is a little clumsy to open one-handed and almost uncomfortable in tight jeans (,no jokes please!,) because of it's width. I love everything else about it. It is very handy and I carry it often for utilitari...

We all must become more vigilant. I may be overgeneralizing, but how do you teach this attitude/mindset when so many appear perfunctory in their day-to-day activites? Is it differences in people's personality, predetermined? I have to believe a heightened sense of awareness could be cultivated in an...

Heck yes. Few people I don't know ever see my knife, and if they do it is back in my pocket before they can comment. I brush off interest by these people with something like, "Yep, that's my letter opener." Most people won't pursue it further. If someone is really interested and I think th...

Howdy, I first look at knife manufacturers that I have had good luck with: customer service, fit and finish, materials were as described. Secondly, a design that appeals to me. One that is functional and does not have too menacing of an appearence. If it passes these two criteria, I consider blade s...

db,

I think the factory edge is 30 degrees (,or a little more,) so you can easily sharpen it to 40 degrees. It is "back-beveled".

This is a fun topic; a lot of interesting responses. Br44, you are a funny dreamer, I like your reply. For the record, I was only kidding about the switchblade-type action. When I read the original post I pictured this contraption in my head and it made me laugh. It jogged a good old memory in my mi...
