Having slept over a night after the meet yesterday I had some time to overthink the knives I handled yesterday. Sal asked us to tell what we think about it and I will start with my favorites (first three), free hand writing IMHO: 1. Large Gayle Bradley folder. Smooth action, great ergo's; definately...

The idea behind the straight spine Stretch was to 'improve' (after some customer-complaint who didn't like it) the spine of the blade leading to 'in-between-model Delica-Endura' with a 50-50 choil which those last two mentioned classics don't have. I found the Lionspy (Name is not certain yet) a lit...

Des Horn? The one with the 'Sturm und Drang'-style design: 3 grooves both in the blade and the handle? Awesome design, THAT was a sweet little gentleman-knife!

...uh yes...'Polish Techno' needs a little explanation I guess. As already explained further it was a design I hadn't seen yet. 2.5 inch 154cm blade, Ti-handle, RIL-lock, larger spyderhole, droppoint. Despite its smallness easy to open with my large hand. Made by a Polish knifemaker which name I for...

Spyderco meet Amsterdam 2011

Just home, turned on the computer just to let you know I had great Amsterdam meet. I met the Glesser-family, very nice people indeed and would like thank them for this opportunity to meet and greet them. I had a great time talking with Sal's wife  The presentation of the new blades was for...

Just found out Fallkniven already have one blade (Tanto) in their collection in this cobalt-steel. I have very high regards for Peter & Eric's Fallkniven but that knife did not appeal to me. However I am very curious what this steel 'does', so let the mule come in...

The ´white cristal´ comes from a piece of same, rayskin. I was a leftover from a refit on an old wakizashi (kind of japanese sword). It is used under the silk wrapping (ito) on the grip (tsuka) of japanese swords. It makes in this case a nice combi with japanese aogami-blade

Wrong might be a wrong word. It is of course a matter of taste. I think artificial materials form a perfect couple as well as natural materials. Wood and leather for example are great partners, as well as halpern or G10 with kydex. The next project will be a BD1 mule with ebony scales and a black sq...

sheath my mule!

Hi there, last week I presented my most recent mule, the superblue with snakewood-scales. As I told I am a leather-man. Leather has great character and tells something about the maker/owner, more than, IHMO, a kydex sheath. I am still working on my skills, but I am evolving :-) This is the result. F...
