Re: Caly 3 EDC perfection? Could we see a compression?

UKPK is already very close to an FRN Caly 3, so I'm very happy to hear the plans are for a 3.5 FRN.

Not to mention the 3.5 is one of my favorite designs, so, yeah, all grins here. I really do hope it comes to fruition. Colors, steels; I'll buy three each of however they are. :D

Re: My take on the Spyderco Police...

Who is EDCing the Police ? My P4 gets more pocket time than any other knife I own. I love the K390 so much, particularly the way it takes a patina, that I recently picked up a backup. It's a huge knife but as others have pointed out its slimness make it an easy carry. On pocket-feel alone I prefer ...

I'm hoping for a Brown FRN with CTS-XHP, Grey FRN with Cruwear, and Red FRN (or blue) with M390.

I love all three of these.

I'd add: Burnt Orange / K390 and Oxford Blue / S110V.

Hi Landon,

I'm carrying a P4 FRN, K390, plain edge. The handle is made from the molds.

Dragonfly plus "XL" is a Dragonfly minus the "Fly", which then is, simply, The Dragon!

Re: Favorite Saturday folder?

I've been beating on an M4 PM2 in the yard to see how the steel holds up. I let it get really dirty while using it but never put it away like that. My girlfriend does a lot of gardening and she uses an H1 Dragonfly because she's a sane, normal person that doesn't obsessively clean and care for tools...

Re: Police K390...yea it's freaking awesome.

When I use a folder for food prep I do my best to keep everything about 1/2" from the ricasso, and to never touch messy foods with my knife hand. That way I only have to clean the blade. Assuming I successfully keep the handle clean and pivot dry, a simple rinse under a faucet with a bit of so...

Re: Police K390...yea it's freaking awesome.

It seems to me that pork yields better patina on K390 where beef was more effective on Superblue. It sounds weird, but I've found the same with respect to K390 & M4. For that indigo patina, M4 likes beef, K390 pork. From pan-fried boneless chops: http://u.cubeupload.com/seki_japan/k3901.jpeg

Re: Caly 3.5 Slipit

Thread necro says: I'd love to see a Caly 3.5 slipit in the style of the UKPK. Big fan of the Caly 3.5 for all the reasons above; such a large and functional blade in a small form factor. Choil and wire clip are icing on the cake. I also love the UKPK for light duty work as it's super quick to disas...

My wish would be for a Caly 3 & 3.5 with orange
scales and a solid blade in HAP40 (no cladding).
Please!

Thread necromancer says: be still my heart!

Burnt orange G10 with a solid (non-laminated) HAP40, Super Blue or Maxamet might just kill me. 10/10 would preorder so hard.
