Re: Rex 45 Patina Pics!

Here's another one sourced, I believe, from these forums. I can't remember whose it is. Please yell if you know.

It already looks like a priceless relic. (What's the opposite of a safe queen?)

It’s pretty safe to say now that we would like to see every model done in LC200N!

LC200N Megasprint 2020. Salt Series HatchetHawk, for fighting sharks and building rafts, of course!

That really is an awesome patina, especially the photo with the contrasting mirror finish. Great job!

That looks really awesome! What have you been cutting with that thing?!

@ohioapexing, wow, that black/blue coloration does look great, especially with the weathered brown micarta. I'm curious too: what causes staining like that?

Something tells me there won't be many photos in this thread. Lots of light users/safe queens for these knives.

Shame because it's such a great steel.

Re: Rex 45 Patina Pics!

I found this thread in my travels. I've got to agree with attila's K390 comparison.

Here's a picture of his PM2 Military after some IRL fruit ninja. Loving the subtle coloration!

Rex 45 Patina Pics!

Post 'em up!

Here's my PM2 after a strip steak. Also cooked portobellos and asparagus but I think it's the fat in the meat that leaves the rainbow hue. Insert science here.

Re: Santoku

Do you miss a VG10 Santoku with corian handle and same finish a the K1*P series? I'd love to see a knife like this. I have the K11 and I find the design and construction excellent but don't use it much because of its blade shape. My go-to knife is a 6" chef's knife which I'd happily kick to th...

Re: Calypso sprint run - would you buy one?

I love the original C54 in unlined Micarta. The 50% weight gain on the Sprint was a major turn-off for me. Adding even more weight for screw construction? No thanks. This right here. I would jump on an original style sprint. Linen Micarta all the way. Maybe do a red this time or white /ivory. Smoot...

Re: Native Chief - Can we get a heartbeat?

I love the police 4 design but seki quality to price isn’t for me, and I’ve had issues on my last few seki knives. May I ask: What kind of issues did you have with Seki knives? I am (of course) not saying , that such can´t occur, I myself just never had any issues with all the FRN Seki knives I had...

Linerless PM2 Salt in LC200N with a wire clip would be so very awesome.
