Re: Hardness vs Toughness vs Strength

I'm gonna wait for BBB or another steel aficionado to chime in.

BUT I do think the statement "hardness = how wear resistant a steel is" is clearly false. Hardness = the quality of being hard.

Re: Linerless: Any issues?

I wouldn't hesitate on buying a linerless knife. I personally hesitate on frn because aesthetics but liners don't matter in my experience.

Re: Top 5 “Other” in 2019

Good thread idea. Surprised it hasn't taken off. These were my stand outs from this year. The CRK I didn't get this year but it saw a lot of use. I'd recommend any of these knives without a doubt. Hogue Deka Microtech Socom Elite LT Wright Patriot GEC #82 Dixie Stockman CRK Large Sebenza Insingo wit...

Re: Talking about your traditional knives

So this one doesn’t really qualify as a traditional to me, but it’s a slipjoint so maybe. Real steel Luna, titanium handle, n690 and a pocket clip. Thin blade stock, ground super thin behind the edge. Really liking it so far. B7143B25-4A1E-4D70-B4AA-C5E18E31D195.jpeg Definitely not a traditional bu...

Re: Talking about your traditional knives

I've been carrying around a Queen stockman recently and its been a pleasure to use. https://files.catbox.moe/63igdv.jpg Three blades is a bit much though. Could you guys recommend a two blade pattern that has one wharncliffe blade? I'd like the main blade to have some belly, so clip point, maybe sp...

Re: Microtech advice needed

I'm really trying to get a Combat Troodon with one side serrated and one side plain. I've a Bladehq exclusive Ultratech with a g10 cover and it's plenty grippy. Mine's with a drop poont blade though. Actually, Bladehq dropped a new g10 Ultratech exclusive today. It's jade g10. Mine's from 2017 when ...

Re: The Superior Delica

I prefer the native 5. Better ergos for me, better blade shape for me, easier to carry for me, better steel, better lock. I feel like probs a stronger pivot. Delica is fine. I have 5 or 6. They're very collectible and they do everything they need to do. I've gifted them too. I wish they were ground ...

Re: Spyderco Kephart knife

The Kephart design is my favorite for utility and woods stuff. However, I don't know how spyderco could make it fresh. You can't change the blade shape and you can't change the handle shape. Otherwise it isn't a Kephardt.

Y'all, these lil Hogue autos are amazing. I think I'll be picking up the wharncliffe version.
CPM 154, 2.75 in blade, solid button lock.
Best factory edge I've ever had.

Re: Cracked UKPK (ti) backspring?

Dang that sucks. Hope they can get it fixed for you. I don't hear about backsprings snapping too often save on custom slip joints that are made with really heavy tension. I wonder if they can mod it so that the new backspring will work.

Re: Bought used knives

Do whatcha want. Looks like a pretty decent mini collection. Jhot Singh for self defense and a cool looking blade, older Native (Native 3? Or 4?) For edc, and a small fixed blade for small fixed blade uses ( EDC plus T (t for tang lol). I'd clean em up.

Re: Slide cut for reflex sight

Personally, I would go with the EAA/Tangfolio Witness in 10mm (or 38 super) but I can't stand Glocks. Am interested in reflex sights. Well, I forgot I was interested in them until this thread. I will be checking them out now. You mind me asking why you can't stand Glocks? I've personally been on a ...
